Lupita Nyong’o revealed past dating disasters during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday. The actress breezed out through the set of the talk show in a tomato red three-piece Balmain ensemble that included a bandeau, wide-legged micro-pleated trousers and matching over-sized blazer. She completed her look with a large earrings and dark manicure. The Academy Award winner definitely looked very confident in her bold and stylish look.
Nyong’o is well-known as one of the best dressed actresses today and she never seize to amaze us with her red carpet looks. However, the “Star Wars: Force Awakens” star admitted to Seth Meyers that back in high school she got stood up at her prom because of a red and yellow dress that she designed. She blamed the dress why the cute guy from her neighborhood never showed up to the school dance.
“I think it scared him because I was going to wear red and yellow… maybe he didn’t have a red suit,” Nyong’o joked. “It was the first prom that my school have ever thrown” she shared “and yeah he didn’t show up.” Seth Meyers jokingly said “if there’s a lesson out there to any young girls it’s not red and yellow.” Probably the “cute guy” from the neighborhood is kicking himself now because of regret.
Before the show, Nyong’o shared a snap on her Instagram as she posed outside of her dressing room in her amazing ensemble and a pair of dark sunglasses, she captioned the photo “Talking @eclipsedbway and my dating disaster with @latenightseth tonight at 12:35am on NBC #checkitout.”
