Everybody thought that Hallyu stars f(x) Krystal and EXO Kai dating rumors are just an April fool’s joke until SM Entertainment, the young couple’s talent agency, confirms that the two are indeed dating which seems to be not that surprising as they already knew each other for almost 10 years now. However, when the dating rumors were confirmed, multiple news claims that the relationship seems not healthy for their career.
In recent reports, AllKpop noted that KaiStal relationship might be the reason why Krystal Jung allegedly considering on transferring to other company after her contract in SM Entertainment ends. The speculation about her departure starts when her dating rumors to her fellow SME artist, Kai resurfaced the internet.
According to the site, reasons of Krystal’s possible departure might be the result of her girl band, f(x), suffering a lot when Sulli decided to leave the group and pursue a solo career under another label. Adding on to her hardship is when her sister, Girl’s Generation former member, Jessica Jung, was reportedly kicked out from SME and signs a contract with Coridel Entertainment.
Moreover, the site also links Kai to Krystal’s exit rumors due to their dating reports which seem to be somewhat the same to her sister, Jessica. The former SNSD member departs from SME soon after her dating rumors with Tyler Kwon was confirmed. This basically made Krystal’s fans think that she will follow her sister’s footstep.
On the other hand, negative reports about Kai also surface the internet when he allegedly dumps his EXO duties just to be with Krystal. Though this claim was never confirmed, it seems like as time goes by, the newest couple in KPop will surely experience a lot of backlashes. Fans, according to International Business Times, have started expressing their thoughts about the revelation. Though some of them support the pair, there were some who pointed out how betrayed they feel when the news broke out –fans’ tempers and wrath were thrown to the couple.
This is not a first time for some Korean idols who courageously announces their relationship to the public as most of the time; they could literally be hurt by their fans (mostly sasaeng) actions. Hopefully, KaiStal won’t be too much affected by these negative reports as they both deserve happiness and freedom—mind you, this love between f(x) Krystal and EXO Kai 10 years in the making!
