“Criminal Minds” fans will be thrilled to see Paget Brewster coming back to the show.
Emily Prentiss (Brewster) will seek the help of her friends in the Behavioral Analysis Unit in hunting down an international fugitive. She left the BAU in order to join Interpol, according to TV Guide.
Paget Brewster first joined the “Criminal Minds” in 2006 then left before the start of Season 8. She returned to the show’s 200th episode two years ago. This will be Brewster’s second appearance after leaving the show.
Showrunner Erica Messer said that she hoped Brewster could make more than one appearance. However, the actress is too busy with other television projects such as the comedy show Grandfathered.

A few months ago, Cinema Blend reported Brewster quit the show because she could no longer take the way CBS network is treating her with regards to her contract in “Criminal Minds.” She was quick to say, however, that she had no problem with the show’s production people and fellow cast members.
The show includes Thomas Gibson as FBI agent Aaron Hotchner, team leader of the BAU. Matthew Gray Gubler is Dr. Spencer Reid, the unit’s resident genius. Other cast members include Shemar Moore (Derek Morgan), A.J. Cook (Jennifer “J.J.” Jareau), Joe Mantegna (David Rossi) and Kirsten Vangsness as I.T. Wizard Penelope Garcia.
Cook was also removed from “Criminal Minds” a few years ago. But she returned and resumed her character in the show. It was later revealed that the CBS network at that time was trying to save money on the show. The executives felt that it would be cheaper to remove the female cast members rather than the males.
“Criminal Minds” is a television crime drama that features a special unit in the FBI. The BAU is tasked with assisting local enforcers across the United States in hunting down unsubs who are mostly serial killers.
