Treyarch announced that Fracture mode will be coming to “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” on July 15. The new multiplayer game mode will feature teams fighting each other in a brand new way.
“Pick up core files dropped by fallen enemies and deliver them to the fracture site. Depositing the core files earns score for your team,” reads Activision’s investor notes. “The first team to reach the score limit or the team with the most deposited files at the end of the time limit wins the match.”
In Fracture, each player will be carrying important files. The objective is to bring these files to fracture site to be deposited and converted to points. When the player gets killed, these files are dropped and any teammate can get these files. The opponent can also grab these files to make points for themselves.
A player is allowed to carry not more than ten files stolen from enemy. This is not an easy task, however, especially if a player carries several files in hand. So, an effective teamwork will be very useful for the successful mission.
The support for Fracture mode has already been added to consoles as part of Descent DLC patch 1.14 with size of 1.57GB.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” patch 1.14 also brought in bug fixes to Black Market. These include fixing an issue which occured after a player claimed all Weapon Bribes from their Season Pass. Then, they were asked with a Purchase button that required a wrong Cryptokey value.
Gameplay fixes are also applied where players were not awarded the correct Contract bonus. Also, at times, they got negative awards. It further fixes a the glitch on G.I. Unit where the robot would just self-destruct right after landing. Full changelog for update 1.14 is available via Activision’s official blog.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” Descent DLC is now available for download. Fracture mode rolls out this Friday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
