Altmann‘s car has been broken down by a Russian hit and run taxi driver who wants to track him down and do away with him later on. Upon reaching the hospital, the substitute doctor on duty, Dr. Sharon Gill (Mila Kunis), accidentally tells Altmann that he has a brain aneurism and only 90 minutes to live.

Dr. Gill’s affair with Altmann’s married physician whose absence from the duty on that day results in the erroneous diagnosis. Altmann dashes around the city, trying to right his wrongs. Meanwhile, Dr. Gill goes on a city-wide search to find him. Altmann battles with his diagnosis, determined to make up with everyone he has hurt in his life. He tries his best to find out what he must do in the final moments of his life.
“The Angriest Man in Brooklyn” Movie Review:
The pathos in wanting to amend your mistakes in the face of death is something audience will appreciate and watch. But, nothing new is in the film. It’s an average film even though expectations are always very high with Robin Williams. After all, he is a great comedian. Over the course of four decades, he entertained audiences of every age with madcap comedies, stand-up performances and his occasional voice-over work in animation. He is a very talented actor who incessantly surprises his fans. Sorry to say though, that he falls short of his fans’ expectations with his latest film “The Angriest Man in Brooklyn.”
“A boisterous anger mismanagement road movie of sorts – if you count chasing all around Brooklyn back streets in part by hijacked taxi. With Robin Williams lending depth to a furiously flaky role, while Kunis plays doctor as guilt tripping femme fatale,” reviews Prairie Miller from Newsblaze Newswire, as published in Rotten Tomatoes.
According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), “The Angriest Man in Brooklyn” will be released on May 23, 2014 in U.S. theatres. The said film is rated R for language throughout and some sexual content by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).
As of this writing, Rotten Tomatoes has given the film a rating of 14% in its Tomatometer, based on their 7 critics reviews. 86% of the audience reportedly want to see it, based on 1,282 user ratings.
