“The Binding of Isaac” is an indie game designed by Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl and was initially released in 2011. The rogue-playing video game was first released for the PC and Windows operating systems but was later ported to Linux and Macintosh OS X. For those not in the know, the dungeon-crawler, action-adventure became a surprise hit in the gaming world, thanks in part to social media and YouTube commentary publicity.

According to VG 247, fans of the game have enjoyed continuous support by its developers, and now PS4 and Xbox One owners can continue their epic adventures with Afterbirth DLC, which will be made available on May 10, 2016.

The “Rebirth” DLC has been available for PC users since October of last year, making console players a little green with envy; but console enthusiasts will finally get their hands on their own version $11 pack of post-game content entitled “Afterbirth”. The DLC pack includes a whopping 100 hours of extra gameplay time and adds over 1,000 new rooms to go crazy in.

As reported by PlayStation Lifestyle, some key features of DLC include Greed Mode which is described as “a whole new way to play”, as it focuses gameplay on weighing risk versus reward. The DLC expands the run of the main game by adding a brand new final stage and a new final boss to test your mettle. Included with the pack are 120 new items to pick up with more than 500 items attainable through loot and other means.

Super-secret content include a new playable character named Lilith, known as the “Mother of Demons” The pack will introduce four new alternate chapters with varying enemy types and new visual themes. Finally, for all combat freaks out there, the DLC adds more than a hundred new enemies to clobber with uniquely new character designs; as well as eight new glorious bosses to battle.
