If the young Han Solo movie is shooting next month as previously rumored, it needs more cast members in a hurry. According to Variety, it is looking to lock one up in Woody Harrelson, who would play someone that taught young Han everything he knew.
Variety's Justin Kroll claimed that talks with Harrelson "are still in the early stages" at this point, and LucasFilm hasn't broken any announcements or confirmations yet. But if these talks succeed, Harrelson would be the movie's second actor locked in to play a brand new Star Wars character after Emilia Clarke. While Clarke has only been described as playing the female lead alongside Alden Ehrenreich's Han and Donald Glover's Lando, Harrelson's character is described in a tiny bit more detail as Han's mentor.
The Hollywood Reporter's Borys Kit does claim that Harrelson wasn't LucasFilm's first choice, however.
