Cornet Mamabolo stays on top; the MAMAs make themselves heard
Television website TVSA has released its monthly lists of Top 10 Most Popular Shows and Actors for the month of June 2015, with Skeem Saam actor Cornet Mamabolo topping the list of Most Popular Actors for the second month in a row.
The SABC2 soapie Muvhango once again tops the list of Most Popular Shows and Mzansi Magic’s Big Brother Mzansi remains the Most Popular Show (non-soapie).
The Top 10 lists are compiled from the shows and actors with the highest number of collective page views across the site for the preceding month. These amounted to 1,890,177 unique page views in the month of June.
Most Popular Actors
1. Cornet Mamabolo
It’s no surprise that Cornet is the most popular actor for a second month running, considering the stir he caused last month upon being named the Most Popular Actor. To coincide with his topping of the list last month, TVSA interviewed the Skeem Saam star, which further propelled his popularity on the site.
Newcomers
There were three new entrants on the Top 10 this month:
Criselda Kananda
The Metro FM jock and one-time Kaelo presenter got married on Saturday 6 June to Siyolo Dudumashe.
Ntombi Ngcobo Mzolo
The former Amaponi star and TV presenter Ntombi Mzolo appeared on the SABC1 talk show Zaziwa on Thursday 18 June, driving people to find out more about her.
Lerato Kganyago
The Link host debuted on Muvhango on Thursday 11 June as new character Mmasebotsana, generating big buzz for the show.

About the TVSA Most Popular
Top 10 Most Popular Shows and Actors is a monthly report published by television website TVSA, which details the most popular shows and actors on the site for the preceding month.
The Top 10s are compiled from the shows and actors with the highest number of collective page views across the site.
For shows, this includes an aggregation of Show Pages (and all their sub-pages), articles and blogs about them, teasers and message board conversations.
For actors, this includes an aggregation of Actor Profiles (and all their sub-pages), articles and blogs about them, interviews and message board conversations.
Soapies are traditionally the most popular shows, on television and on TVSA. Soapies therefore always dominate the Top 10 Shows list, which is why we added a second Top 10 Shows list, with soapies excluded.
