Mouser Electronics is proud to congratulate the Shine Runners Racing Company from Ben Barber Career and Technology Academy in Mansfield, Texas, on a strong second-place finish in the classic division of the 2016 Solar Car Challenge. The Mouser-sponsored Shine Runners team checked off a total of 549.6 miles on a sweltering seven-day trek from Fort Worth to Minneapolis powered solely by the sun. The team also was honored with the prestigious Lockheed Martin Award, presented to the solar car team that displayed the highest level of engineering excellence.
