Scriptures of the Week: Matthew 13:1-24

Greetings from Cambodia where I am experiencing what God is doing for others through Mount Pisgah and the United Methodist Church.

It has been an amazing experience seeing how the Church is fulfilling the mission to make disciples for Jesus Christ while serving the community and sharing God’s love. I am so impressed with the group of young United Methodist Church leaders here. These university scholars are eager to learn about Mount Pisgah’s approach to disciple-making.

This is one of many examples of how seeds are planted for future generations. What I am seeing today is the fruit of the faithful work of many other people. Each acted and felt God’s hand in their lives to step forward and invest in the future.

As a believer in Jesus, you have an opportunity to plant seeds of your own through Mount Pisgah. Your personal investment of time, talent, or treasure in Kingdom-building opportunities will make a lasting impact in the future.

With God, you can accomplish big things. Through faith, you can let go and jump into the unknown with the knowledge He has the next step planned for you. By grace, you have all you need to start the process. Take a moment to pray and ask God to show you where He wants you to serve or invest in the future of our family of faith.

We have many ways to help you become involved – from serving by reaching and welcoming our community to the Easter Egg Hunt, greeting people on Sunday mornings, or serving on a mission team – there is truly a place for everyone.

I challenge you to listen to Pastor Trey this Sunday at 9:00am or 10:30am as we continue our walk through the new message series, Sow Intentional. If you missed the first message, it is available online.

Be blessed,

Pastor Steve
