This is a top of the range Hymer BS680 Starline on the well proven Mercedes 4.6 Tonne Chassis down plated to 3800KG so anybody with an ordinary car licence is able to drive it. The van can easily and cheaply be uprated with a simple paper exercise restoring the massive 4.6 Tonne gross weight limit. There is only 58600 miles on the clock so it has barely been run in and will be good for many many more miles in the future.

This motorhome was manufactured in 2000 and has only one previous owner. It boasts a full UK specification. It is right hand drive with manual transmission. There is a fixed rear double bed above the usual Hymer huge garage space with 3 large cupboards above the bed. A gas assisted easy to move drop down double bed is situated at the front. In the centre of the motorhome is a curved sofa that seats 3 people in comfort and converts easily to a 3/4 bed. Underneath the seat is another large storage area.

The cab area has a large windscreen that offers panoramic views when driving and cab air conditioning for the very hot days. A Mercedes immobilisor is built in so no coded key means no engine start. There is a radio CD MP3 player with aux in option for playing your music from your favourite music player. The two very comfortable and fully adjustable ISRI captains chairs swivel around to allow 5 or 6 people to sit in the central area of the van. There is a small swivel table for snacks or drinks when entertaining that moves easily out of the way when not required.

The well lit kitchen area consists of a double sink with a mixer tap, a three burner stove, an extractor fan an oven and grill and more than enough cupboards and drawers to store the things you need even for an extended stay away. The fridge is a three way unit with a freezer compartment. Underneath is another large drawer. Above the fridge is a TV cupboard where the automatic Oyster Sat System controller and FTA receiver reside. Next to the fridge is a large wardrobe and under that is the excellent Truma Heating and water system that blows warm air all around the living and bathroom area.

The bathroom has an electric flush Thetford cassette toilet a large seperate shower area with a folding door a washbasin and plenty of storage space. There are three 110 Ah batteries charged via the internal charger when on mains hook up or the integrated 110 Watt solar panel through a Schaudt regulator that allows the starter battery to be charged as well as the leisure batteries for longer camping away from mains power.

The 120 litre fresh water tank is situated under the internal seating, the 100 litre waste water tank is underneath the van and both are fully winterised so camping in winter is never a problem. All the windows are double glazed and include integrated fly screens and blackout blinds. The cab area windows also have concertina blackout blinds for privacy and insulation. there is a large Heki wind up skylight over the lounge area which also has integrated fly screen and black out blind. The original unused Hymer removable carpets are also available.

Externally the Hymer has a double electric step, a large Fiamma awning, a 3 bike Fiamma bicycle rack a tow bar and a reversing camera with infra red lighting. The door has a built in flyscreen and there is an awning light. There is a ladder up to the roof and roof bars fitted. On the roof is also a 110 watt solar panel the 85cm Oyster automatic satellite dish and a Status TV aerial. There is also a removable motorcycle rack that easily bolts on to the tow bar brackets complete with number plate and lighting board. Underneath the van is a refillable gas tank that means you can take advantage of the much cheaper autogas available all over europe and top up whenever you like without waiting for the tank to empty. No more carrying several different types of bottles when you tour Europe and no more lifting heavy gas bottles in and out of the gas cupboard. The original gas locker is still available and piped in so should you not be able to find autogas on your travels you can revert to a bottle. There is an underfloor slide out box offering further storage for your mains cables warning triangles hose pipes and other items.

There are one or two scratches on the van as you would expect for a van of its age but nothing serious and certainly no dents or other damage that would be a cause of concern to a potential buyer. The van has an MOT until June 2014 and is taxed until May 2014 so ready to drive away on your next holiday.
