SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION

To provide prompt, dependable, high quality, vehicle sales to Customers by using current proactive features and benefits sales techniques.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1)SALES DEPARTMENT DUTIES:

Attain NEW and USED sales quotas as agreed upon with the Sales Managers and GM.

Use floor time efficiently to meet Customer needs and solicit sales of all available products.

Present the Features of all products to Customers along with their Benefits.

Show each Customer the Advantages of Products over competing brands.

Accurately maintain Customer Contact information and cultivate prospects in CRM (e.g.. showroom and telephone follow-ups, previous owner upgrades, etc.)

Develop Buyers by maintaining rapport with previous Customers; suggesting Motorcycle upgrades or Finance Promos; inviting to upcoming Events and HOG Activities.

Cross sell additional Parts, Accessories, HOG Memberships, F&I Products, Warranties and Service Contracts for all NEW and USED Vehicles.

Maintain established profit margin objectives for all Vehicle Sales.

Follow procedures to ensure timely and proper completion of all Paperwork.

Follow procedures for quick and efficient handling of Warranty Items, additional Sale Add-Ons (Due Bill), including tagging and properly storing these items.

Introduce new Customers to Personnel in Service, Parts, General Merchandise and F&I Departments.

Attend all Department meetings, seminars, workshops and other related training programs (PRO-SELL & PACE) to keep current with sales techniques and departmental issues.

2)CUSTOMER SERVICE DUTIES:

Greet Customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.

Handle Telephone and Internet Leads quickly and courteously.

Follow C.U.S.T.O.M. Sales Process

Ensure Customers are properly qualified for needs, wants and ability to buy.

Practice a Feature and Benefit selling methodology so that all Customers receive consistent treatment while doing business.

Conduct a Test Ride and pre-delivery inspection prior to delivery to Customer.

Ensure the Vehicle Delivery to Customer is an, “EVENT,” which endears the Customer to the Dealership.

Contact Customers using Mailing Lists, Lead Lists, and personal follow-up to encourage additional sales and Customer Satisfaction.

Handle Customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, while demonstrating our commitment to, “Make Things Right.”

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Must have the ability to get along with a broad customer base.

High energy level.

Excellent communication skills and demonstrated, “Closing Skills.”

Knowledge of Harley-Davidson and 3-5 years of experience in Automotive or Motorcycle Sales.

Must be able to work effectively with all areas of the Dealership to maximize both the buying experience for the Customer and the profitability of Dealership.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

Requires the ability to balance, push or ride a heavy Motorcycle.

Majority of each day is spent standing on your feet.

WORKING CONDITIONS

May potentially be exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a Motor Vehicle Service Department.

Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
