Primary Purpose of the Position:

The Senior Pricing Analyst will support and collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, Purchasing and Finance on all pricing related responsibilities.  This entails collecting, maintaining, analyzing and evaluating current pricing to ensure pricing is complete, accurate and in compliance (internally and externally).  This also involves analyzing internal and competitive pricing in order to recommend strategic price plans that will maximize net revenue and strive to meet pricing goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Works with business teams to drive pricing strategies from concept to implementation, engages cross-functional leaders in the development and socialization of new pricing strategies, defines and monitors key metrics for implemented strategies and improves performance on an ongoing basis.

Uses data and customer research as a basis for making price change recommendations for existing offerings as well as evaluates new offerings based on value and competitive positioning.

Develops, leads, and tests various pricing frameworks and analytical techniques.

Establishes and maintains procedures for review and adjusting strategic pricing timely based on a changing economic environment, competitive landscape, and customer perception of value. 

Analyzes and develops, value-based pricing strategies designed to achieve targeted growth objectives.

Responsible for in-depth financial modeling of all pricing initiatives.

Works with the Marketing and Merchant teams to gather and maintain competitive data as it relates to pricing and market share.

Defines and tracks metrics, KPIs, and best practices across the companies.

Works with the Merchant teams to define processes for pricing new offerings, defining customer and product segmentation models, quantifying variation in willingness to pay and improving price realization across product lines and markets.

 
Educational and Experience Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience related to basic financial analysis is required for this position.  Additional requirements include:

 

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a multi-channel retail/distribution or manufacturing company.

5+ years of business to consumer pricing strategy, pricing analytics, new product pricing, and lifecycle price management experience in retail industries.

Proven ability to use data analysis to impact business decisions and pricing strategies.

Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions and manage in a multi-brand environment.

Comfortable and confident working in a fast paced, dynamic, and high growth environment

Proficient in ERP systems and financial reporting tools

Advanced MS Excel and SQL skills required, MS Access a plus

Strong analytical, leadership and organizational skills.

Knowledge of pricing strategies and systems.

Must be able to work collaboratively with key pricing stakeholders in multiple functions to assist in establishing and delivering optimally aligned pricing strategies.

Have excellent project management, quantitative analysis and modeling skills.

Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
