Job Description: Bay Harbor Motors is looking for full-time and part-time Service Technicians/Advisors that are willing and ready to utilize their technical knowledge and hands-on skills to benefit our powersport customers!

Technicians

We are seeking experienced mechanics with experience in a dealership environment. Formal training from recognized schools is a plus but is not required. Factory certifications are also a plus. In addition, the potential for additional factory certifications and training are available for our full-time mechanics to meet the demands of our customers and dealership needs. Mechanical abilities must include complete engine repair and service, suspension, wheel lacing, chassis service, fuel injection, electrical diagnostic and carburetor tuning.

Our dealership is family owned and operated since 1981. Our multi-line dealerships proudly carry Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Polaris, Can-Am, Sea-Doo, and Quadski.

Work schedule varies depending on seasonal demands. Compensation is based on individual qualification and productivity. The sky is the limit. We offer an excellent benefit package including health insurance, vacation time, and discounts.

Requirements:

Dealership experience

Current valid driver's license with motorcycle endorsement

Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills

Strong electrical diagnostic skills

Insure all repair and service work is completed in professional and timely fashion

Strong leadership skills, customer-focused attitude and a high level of motivation and energy

Willingness to expand technical skills as needed to meet customer and dealership demands

Service Advisor

Job Description: Bay Harbor Motors is looking for a self-motivated and energetic customer oriented professional to join our team. We are looking for a passionate, skilled, and articulate person to fill a service advisor position. We are looking for someone who has a mechanical background and understands the long term value of proper customer service. Our dealership is family oriented and fosters an environment focused on selling exceptional customer experiences.

Summary Description:

Maintain and run a smooth and efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction. Accept customer vehicles, recognize problems and service needs, schedule work, assign jobs to service technicians and communicate job status to customer. Keep accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department’s operation within the dealership are essential. Assure that all charges related to work orders are posted properly and are closed on a timely basis. Must be able to process warranty and product improvement claims. Must conduct yourself in the presence of customers in a manner that promotes a positive and professional image of our dealership.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Service Department Operations:

Set up and maintain a smooth running efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Diagnose problems accurately, and clearly describe them on the repair order.

Estimate costs and completion times at point of sale. Clearly communicate them to customer.

Assign jobs to technicians based on skill level and current resource utilization.

Review work-in-progress to ensure quality and timeliness.

Assist technicians when they are having difficulty performing service work.

Determine correct part numbers on repair orders, assist the parts department with picking and posting of parts before job starts.

Perform cashier functions, as needed.

Make estimates for internal and wreck repairs.

· Open & close all customer paid, warranty, and internal repair orders.

Follow procedures for quick and efficient handling of warranty items, including and proper storage of these items.

Become familiar and efficient with ADP Lightspeed required for service and parts management

2) Customer Service:

Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers

Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.

Handle telephone transactions quickly, and courteously.

Promptly notify customers of any changes, delays, or additional work needed.

Upsell additional services by pointing out additional work needed.

Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to them.

Give special attention to repeat repairs to ensure the situation is corrected.

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

Ability to get along with a broad customer base.

Knowledge and experience with servicing products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.

Powersport mechanical background.

Experience with point-of-sale and Parts and Service management computer software (ADP Lightspeed preferred).

Confident decision making skills.
