THE WAY WE WERE: KING OF THE STUNTMEN
The Evel Knievel Super Jet Cycle was a hot toy at the height of Evel’s planned Snake River Canyon jump. It all went wrong in the Canyon, with the law and at the toy store for Evel after that.
MXA PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: A’ME FULL-WAFFLE CLAMP-ON GRIPS
Clamp-on grips don’t need to glue or wire to hold them in place. They can be installed in minutes without waiting for grip glue to dry. Available only in a full-waffle pattern, the A’ME grips are perfectly matched in size on the left and right sides. The come in gray, red, blue and white.
VERDICT: A’ME’s clamp-on grip system comes with a special throttle tube and five different throttle cable cams that slip onto the throttle tube’s notched wheel. These cams fit every brand, snap in place and are are interchangeable. The system is foolproof. One set of A’ME grips will fit virtually ever bike and throttle design ever made.

HONDA’S PROJECT 2&4 IS A TRICK TRACK CAR
The Honda sidewinder track car is half car and half motorcycle.
Honda’s answer to track cars like the Ariel Atom and BAC Mono is the Project 2&4, which employs a motorcycle engine in a very lightweight chassis. Honda’s Project 2&4 is powered by the RC213V motorcycle engine. The engine is a 999 cc V-4 four-stroke unit that puts out 215 horsepower at 13,000 rpm. The transmission is provided by a six-speed DCT gearbox. Overall length is 119 inches, width is 71 inches and height is 39 inches. The weight of 890 pounds. It is styled to look like Honda’s classic RA272 Formula 1 car (which won the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix, driven by American Richie Ginther). The design is a sidewinder-style with the driver offset to the left in a sketchy looking position. It can carry a passenger by removing a cover on the right side of the body work. Project 2&4 was conceived by Honda’s motorcycle design studio in Asaka, Japan. It is unlikely that this car will ever see production.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO MXA AND MAKE MONEY
Interested in getting a new 2017 bike this year? The October 2016 issue of MXA will be on the news stands soon and has test of four 2017s and two-stroke projects on the YZ125 and Suzuki RM250. Plus, if you subscribe now you get a $25 gift certificate from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC which more than pays for your subscription.
Do you subscribe to MXA? You should. We know that you think that print magazines are dead and that the internet will fill the void, but most of the stuff in the current issue of MXA won’t appear on the web for several months, if at all. Luckily, you can get all of MXA on your iPhone, iPad, Kindle or Android by going to the Apple Store, Amazon or Google Play. Better yet get the Digital desktop version at https://hi-torque.com/product/motocross-action-digital-edition/ for $9.99 a year. The MXA test riders prefer the print version and not just because it is delivered by a uniformed employee of the U.S. Government, but because for only $19.99 you get 12 issues and a free $25 Gift Card from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. That means that there is a profit to be made in this deal for you. For the Print magazine go to: http://hi-torque.com/product/subscribe-to-motocross-action-magazine/
