Jason Anderson (21) was docked two places, which amounted to 4 points, for jumping on the Red Cross flags. The flags were displayed around a 90-degree bend and Jason was concentrating on the corner and didn’t see them in time to roll the jumps.

JUSTIN BARCIA TO MISS SUPERCROSS SEASON
After two terrible rounds of the 2016 AMA Supercross Championship, Justin Barcia has called a halt to his season to have his injured thumb operated on. With Weston Peick disqualified from Anaheim 1 and barred from racing San Diego 1, the loss of Barcia puts an end to JGR’s Supercross Championship hopes.

OAKLAND SUPERCROSS FLASHBACK: THE JAMMER’S TIRE
In 1979 Kawasaki factory rider Jammin’ Jimmy Weinert showed up at the Oakland Supercross with a neck brace and a paddle tire. The Oakland track was 100 percent sand and Weinert’s paddle tire proved to be unbeatable. A few weeks later the AMA banned the use of paddle tires in professional motocross.
USED IT, ABUSED IT, TESTED IT: 7602 RACING ADJUSTABLE KTM BRAKE TIP
7602 Racing’s 7075 aluminum KTM brake tip is a bolt-on extension for the KTM brake pedal. It is not only more aggressive, but it is adjustable fore and aft across a 1/2-inch range.
VERDICT: You wouldn’t think that a half-inch would make any difference. But, every MXA test rider raved about the 7602 tip. They didn’t rave about the anodized orange color (also available in black), sharp teeth or brake snake hole. Nope, they loved the fact that the longer brake pedal tip was more accessible and more tactile. WHAT THE MXA WRECKING CREW IS UP TO THIS WEEK
Over the last week the MXA wrecking crew has taken our 2016 KTM 450SXF Factory Edition to three different tracks and had four test riders race it.
Jody finally got his 2016 Kawasaki KX250F ready to race after a couple delays, but then, when the big day came, he had to test two different bikes—so MXA test rider Randel Fout got to scratch it up first.
We stopped our original 2016 TM 450FI-ES test to have Dicks Racing revalve and shorten the rear shock. It came back and several test riders, plus 1980 AMA 500 National Champion Chuck Sun, try it out at REM. It was a big improvement.
Development work on MXA’s 2016 Yamaha YZ250X cross-country bike continues—the final step will be to remove the kick stand. There is some test rider resistance because it’s so handy, but lots of push-back from race promoters.
