The Mom Boss Book Tour made it’s way to Los Angeles to be a part of the LA Baby Show. In the ongoing effort to get out from behind my laptop and out of New York, I’ve been coast to coast talking about Momtrends Media, Mom Boss and the power of the mom community. It’s been time incredibly well spent.

I spent a bit of time with influencers at an awesome event at Blushington organized by Rachel Pitzel. But the BIG reason I was in town was to connect with THOUSANDS of fabulous LA moms.

We hosted a booth at the show that was packed with balloons and goodies. We have Mom Boss Book Bundles (with momAgenda) as well as amazing giveaways from Kirstner Supply Baby Book and Verloop. We teamed up with the fabulous ladies at Petunia Pickle Bottom to show off the latest trends in diaper bags.

I loved the way the bold black and white bags looked in the booth. We co-hosted a big giveaway with Petunia–the winners will score a great duo of Pathway bags and then a bag and coordinating Moby wrap and Downtown Bag.

It was fun to play the role of both blogger and exhibitor. Not only did I get to meet and great the families attending the event, I also got to connect with LA mom influencers. How fabulous is Ali Fedotowsky, the official mom celeb of the show (her baby was so sweet!).

The star power was strong. In addition to Ali, MomAngeles coordinated a red carpet for the bloggers and an enormous VIP blogger lounge. The lounge was THE spot to get pampered and prepped–there were nail stations, tanning stations, massages and, swoon, professional makeup sessions with Blushington.

I also nabbed a red carpet interview with Kristen and Laura the MomAngeles red carpet hostesses and met up with my friend Dr. Tanya Altman.

After hanging out with the VIPs I spent most of the time talking with moms about being entrepreneurs. I sold and signed A LOT of books–I was psyched to see more moms starting the Mom Boss journey.

I did sneak away to check out the other booths (I am a trend reporter after all). I spotted quite a few trend-worthy things.

First, the nomi chair. It’s got sleek Scandinavian design and a lot of functionality. It’s a chair that can take your baby from tot to tween. It was definitely sturdy enough to hold me in it. This is a welcome addition to the seating scene.

Second pick was the new Snoo from Dr. Harvey Karp. It’s a smart sleeper for infants developed by Dr. Karp (I trusted his book to get my babies to sleep). It’s awesome–head to https://www.happiestbaby.com/pages/snoo for more details. Dr. Harvey Karp, best-selling author of The Happiest Babyon the Block also shared insights on caring for and bonding with baby and for helping newborns (and parents) sleep through the night in a seminar for new parents.

My third pick is the Tot Squad. Do you know them? They are the installation and gear experts for all your wheels–from car seats to strollers they will make sure your ride is safe and CLEAN! They even make house calls, but today they were spiffing up strollers. Find out more about them in this great NY Times article.

This was the launch of The L.A. Baby Show, and I know LA parents are going to await the return next year. It was such a HUGE success. The show is a mix of informative and family-friendly fun. There were music classes for kids, a  play lounge, samples and loads of products and services for maternity, baby and toddler. Plus, families were treated to a menu of expert speakers and beloved figures from the world of parenting and pregnancy.
