You know how it is. You stumble across a ridiculously cute kids’ hat/bag/yoga mat (circle appropriate) and you just have to have it for your little one. Sure, it’s double your budget and sold out everywhere except on the other side of town—but it’s stolen your heart so much you’re prepared to face hell, high water, and fisticuffs with another mum just to get it. So, you buy it and lovingly present it to your little one…who screams and throws it across the room where it remains till the next big clean out. Sigh. It’s happened to me a million times, BUT here are a bunch of adorable accessories for toddlers that pass the test at my place. No meltdowns, guaranteed.

Mini Dressing Socks

You know that in-betweeny weather when it’s cold in the morning, scorching at midday, then freezing again in the afternoon (a.k.a. right now)? Well, knee-high socks are perfect for that time. They’re warm when you pull them up and cooler when they’re ruched low. Mini Dressing does rad styles for boys and girls.

Joey Jelly Bean Mosaic In Pink Knotty Headband

Some people who run children's fashion labels don't have kids. Other people who run children's labels have one or two kids. Joanna Glennen from Joey Jelly Bean has four little ones. You read it right: four. Safe to say any product she puts on the market has been rigorously tested by her rug rats at home. Including this adorable knotty headband.

Dunlop Volleys Baby Volleys

You know how it is with shoes for small feet: they’re always too big or too small. Too heavy or too fiddly. Well, not if they’re Baby Volley slip-ons made from super light canvas from Dunlop. My little one took to these like Cinderella: she was off as soon as they were on. On our third pair now---but at $15 a pop, that's cool with me.

Feather Drum Felt Floppy Hat

Finding the right felt hats for kids is hard. They're too big, they're too small. Fortunately, this softie from Feather Drum comes off just right.

Atelier Child Scarf

Question: what do they put in children's scarves that make them SO scratchy? For Atelier Child, you don't need to wonder, it says it right there on the label: "30% cashmere 70% mercerized wool" - aka 100 per cent soft.

Milk N Soda Lil Frankie Blue Wayfarers

Got a toddler with sore eyes? That super-bright sun ain't helping. Little peepers need protection too, but you want a pair of sunnies that are a) comfy b) cheap, and---dammit---c) super cute, too. That’s why MilkNSoda’s $19.95 Lil Frankie Blue Wayfarers are a good buy: they offer great UV protection, sit comfortably on small noses, and won’t break the bank. Sold.

Luna + The Boy Strongman Dumbell

OK, so it's not strictly speaking an accessory, but damn, wouldn't your kid's outfit look about 317% cooler if it was paired it with this?!?!
