Beauty Product Reveiw; Special Edition! Rodan+Fields Redefine Acute Care Skincare

FTC DISCLOSUREONE OF THE MOST EXCITING PRODUCT REVIEWS I'VE DONE SO FAR...!I have REALLY been looking forward to reviewing these products and I could NOT WAIT to share my thoughts with all of you...BUT- I also wanted to make sure that I used the products at least a month, if not longer in order to really share an awesome and thorough review :) That being said, there were some highs and lows of the past 4 + weeks with these products- and yes there were unfortunately some disappointments :/ However, I don't really think they were on the product so much as my sensitive skin...I'll explain shortly! I was super lucky to score this awesome set from iFabbo and I'm beyond happy they gave me the opportunity!RODAN + FIELDS- REDEFINE REGIMEN $193I absolutely LOVED the Redefine Regimen from Rodan+Fields! I've always wanted to try one of their professional lines for cleansing and skin care, but always decided to splurge on other beauty products in the end. I really wish I'd given in to that resistance a long time ago- I really started to see how wonderful my skin could look and feel after starting these skincare products :) I felt a difference immediately after using the first time! I start out with the regimen in order with the Daily Cleansing Mask. It only takes about a quarter-sized amount and just a sprinkle of water- it is a little thick and has fine miscroscrubbers in the formula. I lightly go in circular motions on my entire face with the daily mask, let it dry about 5 minutes, and then rinse it off. I could feel an improved softness and smoothness right away- with the first usage! Those qualities have only improved over the past few weeks.Next, I use the Pore Minimizing Toner and this really is probably my BEST product out of the whole kit. I'm really particular about toners- they have to work, have a good scent or odor, and not leave your face super dry and stinging! I just dab a little on a cotton ball and lightly dab on my entire face and neck area- the formula dries in under a minute! It also doesn't smell and leaves your skin actually feeling soft and not dryer! The Overnight Restorative Cream AND the Triple Defense Treatment are BOTH used as the third steps in this skin care routine from Rodan+Fields. The Triple Defense Treatment is basically the day-time version of your moisturizer an the overnight cream is great to use after you have applied all of your skin care products for the evening and before going to bed. I usually put this product on in the kit after I let my serums dry and have used the rest of the regimen as well on my skin. It's a very thick formula which means I have to use very little! The smell is good, but I do feel that could have even been less of a scent or not as strong. The Triple Defense moisturizer was also a super thick formula so I did not need to use much at all in order to get my entire face and neck areas covered with a thin layer. This product is awesome for applying on before your makeup for the day and will dry in about 3 minutes; that leaves little downtime! It really seemed to be the finishing touch and left my skin with a very smooth texture before putting on my makeup- leaving my face with an airbrush look :)In reference to my pictures above- I apologize for the absolutely terrible lighting- BUT I can tell you that it's from the same left side of my face, with the area between my ear/hairline and my eye and mouth. The pictures are taken close-up, at a sideways angle as well. You can see though that by week three my skin DOES seem to be smoother- and it's clearer! I've only had ONE breakout since using the products :)All-in-all I absolutely LOVED this skincare line from Rodan+Fields and would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who needs a good, solid skincare routine that really works. There are also other lines: Reverse [$179], Unblemish [$171], and Soothe [$160]. These lines cover conditions like acne, discoloration, and sensitive or irritated skin. Lastly, I must mention of course that the price point is in the higher end of the scale and I'm not normally a fan of overly-high-priced items, but this kit is absolutely fantastic, it works VERY well, AND you will have it for a good while (I've only used about a 1/4 of the products and I use them daily-twice a day!).RODAN + FIELDS- ACUTE SKINCARE $220Here's where the disappointing part comes in...this was probably the item I was MOST excited about in the entire set that I got to try that iFabbo sent me. Yet, it didn't quite pan out the way I wanted it to :( I have very sensitive skin and let me begin by stating that, so I was a little hesitant about trying the product, but I'd seen such awesome results I really wanted to give it a chance. Plus, it's prime ingredient is a form of Hyaluronic Acid which is something I can normally apply on my skin. This product immediately caused a problem as soon as I applied! I was very careful, followed the directions of not rubbing back and force so as to damage skin. Only after a few seconds I knew something was wrong, but I also made the mistake of leaving about a minute total for each patch before I actually took them off! I placed them both around the lower sides of my eyes. The burning had become quite a bit by this point and I did what I could to use a Konjac sponge with a cleanser to wash the anything I could off.I did this gently and then put on a light, oil-free moisturizer and then a light dab of triple anti-biotic ointment. The results were two red, raised and slightly burning areas on the sides of my temples, near the eyes! I'd never had an allergic reaction quite like this, but I knew that's what it was as soon as it happened. I am not sure why as the other products in the same line worked excellently, but this item was NOT for me. I still have remnants of a sort of dry-raised area where I had the allergic reaction on my right temple as this side seemed to have a worse reaction than the other and didn't heal as well.I am hoping that after some applications of a couple of products I got recently, I can repair that damage. I am NOT going to actually blame this on Rodan+Fields, as I said before- I have super sensitive skin and sometimes it happens. I've also seen too much valid proof that the product works great for others which I made sure to include those pictures below so that you could see some real results as I wasn't able to get those with this particular product in the line that I received. I also admit is IS a little in the high end of the price range, but the results are there (they just weren't for me due to the allergic reaction!) to make this product well worth it-especially when it just works SO well :)  See More
