A few weeks ago, Disney and Lucasfilm changed the production date of Star Competitions: Episode VIII to Dec 2017, partially to utilize the holiday season box office and partially to be able to (reportedly) allow for several rewrites. Almost immediately after the story, James Camerons long-gestated and also longer-promised Avatar sequel moved faraway from that release night out, citing yet another manufacturing delay and making Steven Spielbergs Ready Player One variation to fend for alone against Star Wars. And now it seems that Star Wars will mostly have November 2017 all to on its own as Ready Player One has been pushed back to 2018.

Warner Bros. features shifted the release day for Ready Player One via December 15, 2017, where it would open from Rian Johnsons Star Wars: Instance VIII, to March Thirty, 2018. That gives Star Wars a wide berth and pits Spielbergersus film against among Universals classic critters reboots though the facility has not yet introduced the title.

Although John Clines pop-culture-driven novel surely has its fans, this is the smart move with regard to WB since Spielbergs identify alone cant ensure the films success for the box office in opposition to Episode VIII. Ready Player One is set with not-too-distant future where people stopper into a virtual earth known as OASIS, a place where they can get away from the tedium of the real lives. Once the CEO of Retreat dies, he foliage his fortune along with the vast virtual surroundings to the user that can solve his difficult treasure hunt. The story concentrates on Wade Watts, whom sets out to gain the ultimate prize, dealing with nefarious corporate agencies and fellow avid gamers along the way.

Olivia Cooke (Me and Earl along with the Dying Girl) stars as one of the films lead protagonists, using Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline) as the main villain.
