We have now moved onto round 16 of the K League Classic and these games are all midweek. All 6 games take place on Wednesday evening 2 at 7pm and 4 at 7.30pm (full fixtures listed above). The 7th game Jeju United vs. Incheon United has been moved to Sunday July 21st.

Here is a very brief preview of each game (sorry little time during midweek) plus our prediction, we’ve also included the result from the previous game between the two sides:

K League Classic Round 16:

Gangwon vs. Busan I’Park (Wednesday 7pm)

Gangwon pulled off a shock result this past weekend beating giants Suwon Bluewings, whilst Busan continued their good form with a win over Daegu. This is a tough one to call so we’re going to predict a draw.
Previous Meeting: Busan 2 – 2 Gangwon

Prediction: 1 – 1

Jeonbuk Motors vs. Seongnam (Wednesday 7pm)

Seongnam gained a solid draw vs. Jeju this past weekend, whilst Jeonbuk put 4 past Gyeongnam without reply. We feel that it will be close but Jeonbuk should edge it.
Previous Meeting: Seongnam 2 – 1 Jeonbuk Motors

Prediction: 2 – 1

Daegu vs. Gyeongnam (Wednesday 7.30pm)

Both Daegu and Gyeongnam slumped at the weekend losing on the road, however they both had won their previous games. This should be a close game on paper, but we feel Daegu are due some luck.
Previous Meeting: Gyeongnam 3 – 1 Daegu

Prediction: 1 – 0

Pohang Steelers vs. FC Seoul (Wednesday 7.30pm)

This is easily the highlight game of the week, as these are two of the biggest teams in the K League. Table toppers Pohang suffered only their 2nd loss of the season on Saturday vs. Incheon, whilst FC Seoul also lost on the road vs. Ulsan. We feel that Pohang will take all 3 points.
Previous Meeting: FC Seoul 2 – 2 Pohang Steelers

Prediction: 3 – 1

Suwon Bluewings vs. Daejeon Citizen (Wednesday 7.30pm)

Suwon have had a rocky start to the second half of the regular season with a win and loss, Daejeon on the other hand are currently bottom of the league without a win since March. We think this will go with the form book and Suwon will win.
Previous Meeting: Daejeon 1 – 4 Suwon

Prediction: 2 – 0

Ulsan Hyundai vs. Chunnam Dragons (Wednesday 7.30pm)

Ulsan are currently second thanks partly to a 2-0 win over FC Seoul at the weekend, Chunnam on the other hand are down in 10th. However Chunnam did win this past weekend vs. bottom side Daejeon. We feel however that Ulsan will take the 3 points.
Previous Meeting: Chunnam 0 – 1 Ulsan

Prediction: 3 – 2
