2014 has been a pretty good one!! This was our 3rd year in New York and I definitely feel more at home in the city than ever before.

The first few months of the year were, as always, freezing and filled with a snow that I thought would never leave (well it did stick around well into March!). We made up for it in the summer with lots of exploring new places in the city, my favorites being the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and the Jazz Age Lawn Party!! Plus, a trip back home at the end of summer for 2 whole weeks was the perfect break and time for relaxation.

The past few months have been pretty crazy, what with a few trips both within the US and back home again to England, and searching and moving into a new apartment (the rumors are true, apartment hunting in NY is insane!). We finally moved over Thanksgiving and are still finding our feet in our new home!

So 2015... ? I never keep resolutions. Honestly, I can't think of one that has ever lasted more than a few weeks at most. But here are a few things I am going to strive towards in 2015.

1. Decorating our new home. Top of the list! Although we've made a good start, our new place is bigger than the last and is still looking quite bare. I've been scouring Pinterest and sites like Design Sponge for inspiration and start to feel like we are finding our style. Excited to share once it is finished!

2. Health and Beauty. I'm a nightmare on this one. I rarely by makeup (and when I do it's resentfully and usually from the drugstore), and I only remember to go to the hair salon 2-3 times a year. This year, I'm grateful that Zoe and Tina have really helped me find a hair style and color that I know I can easily maintain, and with a few extra trims here and there (and less straightening) I should be able to get that glossy mane I've always wanted! On the health side...maybe I should start using the gym again?! We'll see how long that lasts!

3. Taking more photos. What with the craziness of the last few months, my camera has been sat gathering dust. I really want to start taking more pictures again to document our lives, especially whilst here in the city. We're probably not going to live here forever and I really want to have lot of memories to save!

Happy New Year everyone! Hope 2015 is a good one!
