Mobile accessories manufacturer putting big focus on power category as it releases three new products into a number of retailers

STK Accessories says it sees its “future growth” in power banks as energy consumption by mobile phones continues to rise.

The firm has just launched three new power bank products which will be sold in the UK through a number of high street and online retailers including Maplin Electronics, Amazon.co.uk, Mobile Fun and Get Connected.

The Cuboid 2 Power Bank is described as an “ideal stocking filler” and houses a 4,000mAh battery, weighs 120g and has a carry strap. It is priced at £15 and comes in six colours: black, blue, green, pink, yellow and white.

A bigger device, the Cool Grey Power Bank, has also been launched and is aimed at business users who travel frequently. Containing a 12,000mAh battery, it has two USB ports, meaning more than one device can be charged simultaneously. It is priced at £39.99.

Finally, the Soap Power Bank allows users to charge iPhone models from 4 upwards and also has a Micro USB for Android handsets and tablets. It has a capacity of 4,500mAh and will retail at £29.99.

Battery life

All devices are available immediately, with the Soap released at the end of last week.

STK Accessories head of sales for EMEA Deborshi Sarkar (pictured) said: “All of our market reports say that the consumer is complaining about battery life and it was becoming an important part of handset choice.

“Power is where we see the future growth. As devices get more powerful, they get bigger and they usually have a higher battery consumption.

“That’s why there is a big focus on our range of power banks.”
