The latest Pebble update brings Android Wear functionality. Meanwile, the HTC One M9 just can’t stay off the rumor mill. Keep reading for all the details!

Pebble update version 2.3 brings Android Wear notifications

Pebble smart watches are awesome, but many of you will argue that they don’t quite offer the same functionality as Android Wear gadgets. This is no longer the case! With update version 2.3, Pebble gets almost full Android Wear notification support.

This means users can now see Android Wear notifications, as well as acting upon them. Upon getting a notification, you can opt to dismiss it, or you can reply with one of 5 pre-set messages. You do need Android 4.0 or higher, but that excludes very few people.

Opinion: I have been using these features in beta for a while and must say they are a beauty. This update really unlocks the true power of the Pebble. Who needs an Android Wear device anymore?

HTC One M9 mentioned in HTC website code

We have heard many a rumor about the HTC One M9, especially lately, but the company itself is keeping its lips very sealed. More leaks will come as preparations for the MWC announcement come, though, and some clues of the device have been found in the form of some coding within the HTC official website.

We don’t get much detail from these lines of code, but at least we now know preparations are underway and the name will likely stick as the HTC One M9. There were previous rumors of a change in the naming scheme.

Opinion: We don’t have much time left until the announcement, but it’s always nice to get these leaked teasers. Wouldn’t you agree?

HTC One M9 wallpapers leak – 1080p screen on board

Wondering what the HTC One M9 wallpapers will look like? You can now see them, as developer @LlabTooFeR has started leaking them on Twitter. He will release one every day, but the mere wallpaper is not what has us reporting this story.

The big news here is that these wallpapers come from HTC Sense 7, which is the HTC One M9’s ROM. They come with a resolution of 2160x1920p. This means the screen will likely stick with 1080p resolution.

Opinion: I have always said it – we don’t need 4K resolution in smartphones. It’s an unnecessary burden on resources and it really doesn’t make that much of a difference. Yes, it looks amazing, but so do 1080p screens with a good quality panel.
