The Nokia 930 will face direct competition with several Android Smartphones when it come to market in June later this year in the 5 inch segment, notably the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Sony Xperia Z2 and the HTC One M8. Of course the main characteristic of the device to many users is the fact that it will run Microsoft’s Windows 8.1, but with a generally improving mobile experience on Windows, and Nokia’s undoubtedly growing reputation for making the best Windows devices on the market, many users may be tempted when they get hold of the Lumia 930. One notable improvement from many smaller Windows Phones, is the three tile columns width available on the Lumia 930′s 1080p display. As we’ve pointed out in the past, it makes a much more fluid overall experience on the Metro interface.

The addition of Qi wireless charging support might not make up for the lack of a heart-rate monitor and other more advanced sensors that we are seeing in the high-end handset space, but as in the past, Nokia is pushing a advanced and highly acclaimed camera array and fantastic build quality with a metallic chassis design that feels robust without being too heavy. We look forward to its arrival in June later this year for pre-tax price point of $599.
