Acer has been a little more quiet than usual lately, but it seems they were preparing for a colossal announcement. Acer has just gone nuts and announced a plethora of devices, including tablets, smartphones and even a smartwatch!

We have devices from all price ranges and performance levels, so let’s take a good look at them one by one.

Acer Liquid Leap and Liquid Jade

Acer is hitting the smartwatch market with the Liquid Leap, a device that will be paired with the Acer Liquid Jade smartphone. Sadly, it is an exclusive in terms of compatibility and features, but we hope to see Acer expanding its reach later on.

The Acer Liquid Leap is focused on health, monitoring your steps, running distance, calories burned and sleep cycle. In addition, it supports incoming calls, SMS notifications and music controls.

Its battery life is also exceptional, offering about 7 days of juice! Those interested will be able to purchase the Liquid Leap, along with the Liquid Jade, come Q3, 2014.



Acer Liquid Z200

Those looking for something a little more user-friendly and affordable usually have to settle with feature phones. This is why Acer has created the Liquid Z200, a device designed to please the casual user with different modes and helpful features.

This device features a 4-inch (800x480p) display, a 1 GHz dual-core Mediatek processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 1300 mAh battery. What makes it unique is its modes, though, which include Basic Mode, Easy Senior Mode, Classic Mode and Keypad Mode.

Basic Mode: for youngsters with fixed call and text functions.

Easy Senior Mode: quick messages with pre-set text, radio, weather, magnifier, clock, quick call contacts for the convenience of elderly users.

Classic Mode: the main functions in a simple and organized layout for first time smartphone users.

Keypad Mode: quick and direct dialing setting for feature phone switchers or people who primarily use voice and need their keypad right away.



Acer Liquid E700 and E600

The Acer Liquid E700 and E600 come into the market, targeting different kinds of users. The E700 is made for the traveler, with a triple-SIM configuration and a large 3,500 mAh battery that is sure to keep your phone alive for a good time. The device also comes with Android 4.4 KitKat, 4 GB of internal storage and a microSD slot.

Meanwhile, the Acer Liquid E600 is said to be a more elegant device, with 4G LTE compatibility and a Snapdragon 400 processor. It does pack a smaller 2,500 mAh battery, but it’s not a bad device, by any means.

Acer Liquid X1

The Acer Liquid X1 is one phone to keep in your list, with good specs and a great camera. This powerful device will rock your socks with a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor, a 5.7-inch 720p display, 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat, a 13 MP camera and 16 GB of internal storage.

It certainly won’t beat your flagship smartphones, but it does offer a good experience that should come paired with an enticing price. It’s camera is also fast and crisp, offering an f1.8 lens and 0.3-second autofocus. Just like all other devices here, the Liquid X1 will become available during Q3 of 2014.

Acer Iconia Tab 8

If what you really want is performance in an Acer device, you may want to take a look at the Acer Iconia Tab 8. This device features a stunning screen that measures 8 inches and has a 1920×1200 resolution. It’s also powered by an Intel Atom quad-core processor and Android 4.4 KitKat, which should keep the device running very smooth.

It’s said to be a great device for media consumption and gaming, with a great screen and about 7.5 hours of continuous use per charge. Not a bad deal, but we still need to see how it will be priced. As expected, it should be released during Q3.
