In 2018 mobile commerce sales on smartphones and tablets will account for 27 percent of total web sales in the U.S., according to research firm eMarketer Inc., and 47 percent of total web sales worldwide, according to investment bank The Goldman Sachs Group Inc.  Read Original Content

Smartphone-generated retail revenue jumped 115.9 percent year-over-year in April, according to Branding Brand's Mobile Commerce Index. Sales from mobile devices increased 101 percent in the first quarter compared to the same quarter last year for more than 350 retailer clients of mobile commerce vendor Unbound Commerce. The number of transactions increased 82 percent and the average ticket grew 29 percent.  Read Original Content

A year or so ago, Facebook introduced mobile app install ads with the intent of giving app marketers a more efficient means of targeting high-value users. After recently reporting an 82 percent year-on-year increase in mobile ad revenues, it’s safe to say it worked.  Read Original Content

In line with that rise, more shoppers than in previous years are embracing being targeted with shopper marketing.
