Its been a very long time since my last post, i have been reading the odd thread but just never commented.
Anyway after a turbulent 18 months i have come to the decision that its time for me to 'semi' retire., By this i mean i am no longer doing the following
Weddings
Xmas Parties
New Years Eve
Birthdays
etc etc
I am however doing friends/family events and the odd charity and themed events (predominantly 60's 70's and 80's)
There are many reasons for this decision
Firstly - My day job dictates that i can only now work saturdays and with other commitments can only predict a maximum availability of 30 dates a year
Secondly - I loath pop music - i just cannot face playing olly murs, Robin Thicke etc etc one more time
Thirdly - People have forgotten how to have fun and treat people with respect. My tolerance for drunken abusive stroppy individuals is at an all time low
Basically my heart is not in the job anymore and rather than provide a sub standard service, its better to leave it to the more dedicated individuals. Im leaving my website live but will be tweaking it a bit soon. Any enquiries i get will be passed to the relevant individuals.
With all that said i would like to offer any North Yorkshire & North East Dj's my services should you need assistance on a saturday. Many of you provide multiple services at events and may find an extra pair of hands and a van useful. I still have a rig which can be hired out if you have the need. Helping the multi ops set up numerous discos and ensure dj's get to where they need to be. Assisting with installing & managing extra services on sites (dance floors photo displays, uplighting etc etc) Taking pictures for you.
My rates are friendly and negotiable, Im 100% reliable - I will not leave you in the lurch because i get a better offer etc. All work will be invoiced. I have my own PLI, all gear is pat tested. I scrub up nice and act in a professional manor at all times. Im also willing to play a FEW tunes should the need arise.
