In this short post, we are going to tell you the best 7 new 2017 phones to look out for this year so that you can get the best phone deals.

Best 7 new 2017 phones.
1. iPhone 8.
With 2017 being the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, many people believe Apple will pull out of the stops for their new model.
Release date:
Announced early September and on sale mid-September.
Key features:
Full glass screen. (Curved AMOLED)
No home button
Built in touch ID to anywhere on-screen.
Wireless charging.
Iris scanning.
Price:
You can expect the price of the new iPhone to be around the £600 mark.
2. Google Pixel 2.
Google has been eagerly trying to position themselves as a key player in the phone market over the last few years.
With their switch away from great-value-devices to premium devices, the new Google Pixel 2 is set to be one of the best phones released this year.
Release date:
The current Pixel models were announced at an event in October 2016 and went on sale later in the month. We reckon that Google Pixel 2 will follow in the same timeframe coming out in October 2017.
Key features:
Waterproof casing.
A Camera that excels in low-light photography.
Mediatek processor.
Price:
Based on current Pixel prices and factoring in the new upgrades you could be looking at a £650 phone but possibly cheaper options will also be released such as a Pixel 2B.
3. Samsung Galaxy S8
A lot is on the line for Samsung after the battery failure of the S7 that would cause some phones to combust.
Many people see the S8 as the making or breaking moment for Samsung’s place in the smartphone industry.
Release date:
The S8 is thought to be announced at an event on the 29th of March and later sold April 21st.
Key features:
Similar to it’s Apple counterpart the S8 will have a fingerprint scanner built into the screen and will scrap the home button.
Is set to be the fastest phone we see this year with 6-8GB of ram and a Snapdragon 835 processor.
Rumoured to be built with VR capabilities in mind.
Will swap the micro-USB port for the USB-C.
Price:
The S8 is thought to cost £670 while the S8 plus could be priced around £750.
4. Moto G5.
While Motorola might not be known for making the most impressive phones on the market they are certainly known for the affordability of their devices.
For years the Moto G series have never gone above the £200 mark while the norm has become to spend £500+ for a smartphone.
The next installation of the Moto G series is set to stay on course and provide some nice upgrades on previous models.
Release date:
Set to be announced at MWC later this month. (February 2017)
Key features:
Two models are set to be released the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 plus.
While the plus will have higher specs they will have commonly shared features:
Snapdragon processor.
2GB RAM.
Micro USB swapped for USB-C.
Will run Android Nougat.
Waterproof.
Price:
No Moto model has ever cost more than £200 making the series one of the most affordable options on the market. We imagine that this model will be no different and should expect to cost around £170-190.
5. HTC 11.
HTC have announced that they will not be attending MWC meaning that the phone released later in the year. We suspect this is due to Samsung have the dibs on the new snapdragon processor meaning HTC will have to wait until after that release.
While HTC 10 wasn’t a disaster by any means, it certainly wasn’t a huge success.
HTC 11 (name still to be decided) will be an attempt to prove that HTC is still a force to be reckoned with in the mobile industry.

April/May 2017.

Higher-end models are rumoured to have:

6GB of RAM
Up to 256GB of storage,
High-capacity battery with Quick Charge 4.0.
5.5in Quad-HD screen.
Price:
Following the recent HTC trends, it’s likely that the phone will be priced between £550 and £600.
6. Microsoft Surface Phone.
Despite many valiant attempts by Microsoft to break into the mobile industry, it hasn’t been able to compete with giants like Apple and Google.
However, with the Surface disrupting the computing world and challenging the likes of the iPad and Macbook, could the Surface phone be the big success Microsoft has been waiting for?
The Surface phone will implement OS Microsoft has already developed for their laptop version to try and bait away Android and Apple users.
Release date:
Everything around this phone (including the name) is highly speculative but it is likely that the phone will be announced in the first half of the year will sales following closely after.
Key features:
Microsoft is working on the “ultimate mobile device” according to CEO Satya Nadella.
All metal aesthetics like the Surface.
3 different tiers of device-options depending on users needs.
Windows OS.
Price:
Basic models may range around £500 with the top options even pushing into the 1000’s.
7. Nokia 3310
In a surprising response to the mass golden age syndrome being experienced by parts of society, the company announced that they are to revive the legendary mobile.
Originally released over 10 years ago it is remembered as the most iconic and commercially successful phone of its time.
Release date:
Set to be announced at the MWC 2017 later this month, it is likely the phone will be made available for purchasing soon afterward.
Key features:
New screen will display colour.
A new range of device colours.
Thinner and lighter than the previous model.
Great battery life.
The game ‘Snake.’
Simple design.
Considered ‘almost indestructible’.
Price:
£50-£60 is the expected relaunch price
Nokia struggled to keep up the advancements in the mobile industry and this is certainly an interesting direction to take.
