If you don’t know who they are, they are long time Diamond Consultants of MOBE.

Regular guys who got started in our industry quite a few years back, didn’t know anything, but were committed to learning the business.

The question you’re probably wondering is ‘how did they do it?’
They generate front-end buyers on the CPA (cost per action) networks. If you google ‘list of CPA networks’ you’ll find a bunch of them.
This is not a newbie-friendly strategy. If you don’t know what you’re doing, you can lose your shirt. You’ll also need to spend a lot more money upfront to get started with this marketing method.

The second question you may be wondering is, ‘how much did they spend to make that 233k?’
The answer to that, I don’t know.
But it was likely over 100k. Real business owners understand that you’ve got to invest real money in paid traffic to scale.
The main question to answer is, “are my media buys profitable?”
If they are, then it’s time to increase your marketing spend.
If you made back 233k from a 100k investment, I’m sure you’d be satisfied with that result (at least I hope you would!). But again, I don’t know their exact numbers.
I do know that every month I myself spend many hundreds of thousands (this month will come close to spending 1m) on traffic. But that’s something I’ve scaled up to over many years.
When I first started out over 7 years ago, I was spending less than $20 a day.
Once I made a few sales, I increased it to $50 a day. Then $100. And so on… which I’m sure is the same way the Mikes got started.
The main reason I’m sharing this, is because I wanted you to know that Mike and Mike started out where you did.
The only difference is the knowledge they’ve got, and their willingness to apply it.

The winner will be based on who gets the most Home Business Summit (HBS) ticket sales. There are multiple HBS’s every weekend of March—including events in the US, UK, and all across Asia.
The best way for you to win is to promote the IMF Freedom Workshops (2 hour free event), where we then offer the HBS ticket for sale for $497. You get paid a $120 commission on that HBS sale, and then you also get paid on any sales made at the HBS itself.

By the way, you really shouldn’t be too focused on the $120 commission for the HBS—that’s not where the real value is… The value is—every person who actually shows up could get you MUCH bigger commissions.
For example, just recently, we had two Home Business Summits—one in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, and the other in London, England. We had a lot of good sales, and a lot of our students moved forward.
I calculated that for every person in the room, the person who referred them to the event made between $1100-$1300 in commissions—after gross sales.
If you had gotten just five-people to one of these events, you would’ve made around $6,000. So that’s the real reward here… It’s more than just the $120 you make for getting them to the HBS Event.
We even had a 22-year old MOBE Consultant who invested $6,000 in Facebook ads and turned it into $42,000 in commissions just from LA (and he happens to be a MOBE Mentor too).
So here’s my advice: Check the HBS Schedule. Then start setting up your ads to promote local events right now.
If you promote to your list, I recommend you geographically segment your list. For example, if the event were in San Antonio, Texas, you would focus your advertising around 20-30 miles of San Antonio.
You should also be doing local ads for the IM Freedom workshop, and just start promoting that people show up to the IMF.

1. Get a Lead Capture Page
If you want to build a list, the first thing you need is a lead capture page—also known as a squeeze page, opt-in page, or a landing page. These all mean the same thing. You can get yours for free at www.LeadPages.net.
Once you have your LeadPages account, you’ll need to craft your lead capture page. You will ne ed to write some copy on it. If you are brand new, my advice to you is to model what you’ve seen out there.
For example, on your Leadpages.net account, if you aren’t sure what to write, you could model a competitor’s lead capture page.
Just click a competitor’s ad online, and when you land on their lead capture page, you’ll see a perfect example of their messaging. Model the headline (change a few words to match your product), and use it on your own lead capture page.
2. Get an Email Auto-responder
Next, you will need to sign up for an email auto-responder service. This service allows you to store all your prospects’ email addresses.
People will be landing on your lead capture page, and you’ll be collecting their email address. And all those email addresses need to go somewhere.
These names need to go into a database, and you need to be able to email your list in bulk. This is one major reason for this service, because you’ll be able to email all of them at one time, saving yourself a lot of time with just one click of your mouse.
An email auto-responder is by far the best way to send bulk emails. There are several out there… You could try AWeber.com, GetResponse.com, or MailChimp.com.
My advice, keep it simple. Just go to www.AWeber.com. It’s cheap, it’s effective, and it’s good for building a list.
Again, this service is going to store all your email addresses. And you will be able to send unlimited emails from AWeber.com for around $15-$30 a month.
3. Create Your Sign-up Form
Now it’s time to finish the infrastructure of your lead capture system…
You need to get your email auto responder form code. Now I know that sounds technical, but when you sign up for your AWeber account, they provide you an easy step-by-step process.
AWeber walks you through how to create a list, and how to create a form. You need to get that form set up because that’s where people put in their email address.
After you finish setting up your form, insert it on to your LeadPages.net lead capture page. When people go to your website, they put in their email address, it’s then sent to your AWeber account.
When you can log into AWeber, you can see all the email addresses you have collected, how many people are on your list, and then you can type an email and send it out to your list. So now you have the infrastructure in place.
4. Drive Traffic to Your Lead Capture Page
Next you need to drive traffic to your lead capture page. Because… if no one sees your lead capture page, no one is going to put in his or her email address.
You need to get traffic to your page, and the best (and fastest way) to get traffic is with the paid-traffic method. Now you may have heard of getting free traffic “organically,” but that will take you a long time, and you’ll get you a very low return-on-investment (ROI) for the time you invest.
On the other-hand, paid-traffic will require you to spend money, but you will be able to generate a much greater ROI—much faster.
So my advice, if you want quick results… you can’t be cheap.
Cheap might be a strong word, but you should really be interested less on cost, and more on your return-on-investment (ROI). You’re primary interest should be in getting a good ROI.
5. Pick Your Traffic Method
As you get into using paid traffic, you should pick just one paid traffic method and stick with it. I want you to focus on the paid traffic method until you master that one thing. Then later on, after you’re already making money, you could use banner ad traffic, or you could do solo ad traffic.
I recommend starting with Facebook pay-per-click traffic.
As you get into learning about Facebook ads, for every hour you spend watching and learning, you should be spending two-to-three hours actually doing. This is VERY important so you don’t procrastinate.
For example, as you are learning Facebook pay-per-click, you watch the video training on how to do it. Watch through it one-time. Then, while you’re watching it the second time, you should actually start implementing the advice and doing it. Don’t put it off!
6. Send Daily E-mails to Your List
Now that you’ve learned how to advertise on Facebook, it’s time to create a little Facebook ad.
When people click that ad, they will go to your lead capture page. And when people land on your page, usually about one-third of them will put in their email address.
Now that you’re getting leads flood into your email auto-responder (AWeber), just log in and start sending daily emails out to your list.
You will be promoting different offers, inserting your Affiliate link for different products you’re promoting, and when they buy, you get commissions!
Go out and take action—It’s the ONLY way you can start building your list. And when you start making more commissions from your growing list of prospects, trust me—you’ll be a lot happier.
