Bula from Fiji!  (if you’ve been to Fiji you’ll know what that means).

I’m here, working on a deal that’s now 10 months in progress… it’s for MOBE’s second resort.

The place I’m wanting to get is incredible;  it’s actually on a small island we’d have to ourselves.

So I’ve been meeting with bankers, accountants, and also the main land board here which approves foreign investors to see if I can make this happen.

It’s all very exciting.  No deal is done yet, but I’m very optimistic.  If it goes through, MOBE will have one of the most spectacular mastermind destinations in the world.  I’d aim to start doing masterminds here by the end of the year.  So I’ll keep you posted, and who knows – maybe you’ll be able to come see the place in the future.

In other news, the ‘March Madness’ $20,000 contest has begun! In fact, this could be one of the most exciting months we’ve ever had at MOBE!

The winner will be based on who gets the most Home Business Summit (HBS) ticket sales. There are multiple HBS’s every weekend of March—including events in the US, UK, and all across Asia.

The best way for you to win is to promote the IMF Freedom Workshops (2 hour free event), where we then offer the HBS ticket for sale for $497. You get paid a $120 commission on that HBS sale, and then you also get paid on any sales made at the HBS itself.

You can also promote the HBS pages directly. Market to people in the local area, and when they show up to the event you get paid.

But, the MOST important thing is that they actually show up to the event. We will verify that they do show up, because we always have a registration table on the morning of Day 1. We will check their name, their email, and we’ll make sure they actually show up at the event. This makes the contest completely fair for everyone.

By the way, you really shouldn’t be focused on the $120 commission for the HBS—that’s not where the real value is… The value is—every person who actually shows up could get you MUCH bigger commissions.

For example, just recently, we had two Home Business Summits—one in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, and the other in London, England. We had a lot of good sales, and a lot of our students moved forward.

I calculated that for every person in the room, the person who referred them to the event made between $1100-$1300 in commissions—after gross sales.

If you had gotten just five-people to one of these events, you would’ve made around $6,000. So that’s the real reward here… It’s more than just the $120 you make for getting them to the HBS Event.

We even had a 22-year old MOBE Consultant who invested $6,000 in Facebook ads and turned it into $42,000 in commissions just from LA (and he happens to be a MOBE Mentor too).

So here’s my advice: Check the HBS Schedule.  Then start setting up your ads to promote local events right now.

If you promote to your list, I recommend you geographically segment your list. For example, if the event were in San Antonio, Texas, you would focus your advertising around 20-30 miles of San Antonio.

You should also be doing local ads for the IM Freedom workshop, and just start promoting that people show up to the IMF.

And we also have a Registration Template you can learn how to use in MOBE Sites HERE So now you can create your own page. It’s not banned on Facebook, so you can start doing Facebook Pay-Per-Click Ads right now.

This is what all of our most successful Consultants are doing—Facebook ads targeting the geographic area of the event.

“How do you respond to critics who don’t understand?”

The other day I was talking with Michelle from Canada, and she had a really good question….

Michelle asked,

“When I introduce the business opportunity—the MOBE 21-Steps Program—people want to know what products I’m promoting. I tell them I’m promoting digital information marketing products. And they say, “So you’re selling air?” What do I say to respond to that?”

Welcome to the Information Age

First of all, most people in their 20s or 30s wouldn’t even ask this question, because they have been brought up with the idea that you can buy digital products and digital services.

For example, when you buy music on iTunes, you don’t actually get to hold something, there’s no CD, but you’re comfortable spending the money because you have a personal “cloud” with all your songs…

The people who usually ask this question are from the older generation, because typically up until the late 1990s, most products were physical and you actually go get them from the store.

For example, have you heard that many of the big box stores like Kmart, Wal-Mart, and Best Buy are losing business to Amazon and other online stores? This is an example of products going from being sold in a physical storefront, and now being sold—and delivered—online in the comfort of your home.

For the past 20 years, we’ve been moving into the Information Age where we are buying and selling information a lot more than we were in the 1990s or earlier.

In the Information Age, the smartest people don’t buy a product based on how much it weighs like the old days… they buy it based on the quality of the information.

But some people just have a hard time getting used to the concept that you can pay money to receive information instead of something physical—and you can get a very good deal for that.

For example, I recently committed to spending $10,000 a month with a particular person to help me as a consultant to help me grow my business…

Once a week, I can talk with this person for 1 hour and 20 minutes on the phone. What does that add up to? About 5 hours of consulting every month for 10 grand—$10,000!

The reason I pay so much for the information I receive in that one-hour conversation, is because I understand that I’m NOT buying units of time here. But I AM buying the high quality of information that will take me to the next-level with my business.

I’m buying a high grade of information that I can’t get in too many places. There are very few places where I can get this information, because it comes from someone who’s built a business doing hundreds and millions of dollars per year.

This consultant has experience very few people in this world have, and if he can teach that sort of information to me, then I can get to the next level in my own business. That’s why I think his advice is worth $10,000 a month.

The right prospects are eager to pay you for good information

The right prospects are perfectly fine with the idea of paying money for information, and they don’t really care what format that information is delivered in—whether it’s digital, on a flyer, in the mail, CD, or DVD—they are really after the quality of information.

For example, I’ve spent literally tens of thousands of dollars on Dan Kennedy products. Dan Kennedy is a marketing legend in this industry, and he has a lot of products. But the truth is, a lot of his products, especially the older recordings, are not even that good quality.

If you watch the videos of some of his older seminars online, the quality is terrible. But what we care about is the quality of the information. We don’t really care too much about the audio if it’s a little bit crackly; we just want the quality of the information.

What to say to critics

To sum it up, if you have a critic who is skeptical of you selling digital information products, here are a few ways to respond.

Critic: “I don’t want to get involved in something where there’s actually no physical product.”

Answer Option 1: “Think of it this way… Have you ever spent a few thousand dollars on a holiday? Chances are they’re going to say yes. “When you buy a vacation package from a travel agency, are you actually getting a physical thing?” They’ll say, no. “What are you actually getting on a vacation? You’re actually getting a great experience, right?”

Answer Option 2: Here’s another way you can answer this question. You could say, “Have you ever heard of Amazon.com?” And of course, they’re going to say yes. “Do you realize that Amazon does billions and billions of dollars in revenue every single year?” They’ll say yes.

Then you say, “Are you aware that many books sold on Amazon are not even physical books, they are in digital format and delivered to the Kindle users around the world?” Chances are they’re going to be aware of that.

“Well, do you think that Amazon is wrong to be selling books that can be downloaded? Do you think their customers aren’t getting a value for the money?”

If you are speaking with a reasonable person, they’re going to realize how ridiculous that is. People wouldn’t keep on buying those books if they weren’t getting value, and now you’ve made your point…

The Information Age is here, and the people who buy and sell information products have the biggest opportunities in the future.
