We need a skilled Public Relations Specialist who lives on the cutting edge of the field. Reporting to the Global Public Relations Manager, this specialist position manages consumer and trade media relations, event coordination and supports public relations strategy for ECC in the United States & Canada.

You will manage projects in varying stages of development, working across the entire ECC portfolio. You will coordinate efforts with outside agencies and keep legal, sales and other support functions aware of public activities.

Specific responsibilities include:

Coordinate PR programs across the LOBs to drive print, online and broadcast coverage.

Assist in the implementation of PR activities, including social media, media relations outreach, event coordination and implementation.

Provide direction and support to consultants and outside agencies.

Support planning and execution of internal/external/media events.

Create and implement PR strategy and establish relationships with national trade media.

Write and distribute press releases as appropriate.

Develop and maintain editorial calendars and create compelling pitches to garner media interest across various ECC LOBs.

Coordinate PR effort with Marketing, Sales, ACS and Corporate Communications.

Procure coverage results and measurement for results reporting to upper management

Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations.

5+ years experience in Public Relations

Preferred Requirements:

Advanced degree a plus

Working in a B2B2C environment, with a proven record of executing high-impact programs

Mix of corporate and agency experience.

Strong influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to manage in a matrix organization.

Experience in technology or shelter verticals.

Demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts into press releases, executive presentations, key messages, Q and A, briefing materials, web copy, etc.

Strong media relations experience.

Fluency in emerging PR practices, tactics and social media platform.

Working knowledge of all areas of communications mix.
