The 9 Mile Music Festival was named for the Village of Nine Mile near St. Ann’s Bay in Jamaica where Cedella Marley Booker raised her son, Bob Marley. Both were laid to rest there and the village is an attraction for reggae fans around the world today. Since 1993, the Festival has donated over three million canned goods to Miami shelters.
