Living Healthy with a Chronic Condition

Don’t let fatigue, frustration, sleep loss, depression or anxiety keep you from enjoying life. Join the 6-week course that runs January 2 through February 6 that is developed by Stanford University Research Center covering nutrition, exercise, communications, relaxation, medications, self-management, resources, goals and problem solving all focused to living with chronic conditions.  The program is on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Register by calling 949-470-3062. Aging and Anger

Ready to Quit Tobacco? You Can Do It!

Make a New Year’s resolution to quit smoking. Anaheim Regional Medical Center is facilitating a free 5-session class to quit tobacco use Wednesday afternoons at 4 p.m. from January 8 through February 5. Challenge of Caregiving

Making the Moments Count is a “how-to” presentation video for caregivers of loved ones suffering from Alzheimer’s to lighten the load, hearts and spirits of family and friends. The free presentation takes place on the second Thursday of the month at 3:30 p.m.

Senior Empowerment

Join the Hearing Loss Association of America to learn about Med-EL’s Maestro Cochlear Implant System, Rondo, the world’s first single-unit audio processor as well as an overview of assistive listening devices (ALDs) and how they are used. The free program is at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 13.

Beginning Ukulele Class

Student Financial Aid

This workshop will discuss the application process; identify different types of financial aid and the difference between a student loan and financial aid. Community Classes and Events

Breakfast with Gary and Kelly

The livecast will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 18 with sax man Dave Koz. The audience will be admitted for the 10 a.m. to noon portion, and the final hour will be videotaped for later broadcast on the City’s MVTV Channel 30 and Saddleback College Channel 39 on Cox. Baby Boot Camp

Classes are packed with cardiovascular interval drills, circuit training and strength exercises. This is a total body workout you can do with the comfort of your child safely in the stroller next to you. This hour-long class is at 9 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
