Dr. Mark Westfall will serve as medical director for the Community First Fox Cities Marathon presented by Miron Construction.
Westfall, an emergency physician at Theda Clark Medical Center and the EMS medical director for Gold Cross Ambulance Service, brings 23 years of medical practice to this year’s events, which will be held Sept. 19-21. He will supervise the finish line medical tent.
“My goal is to make sure that the Fox Cities marathon is the safest that it can be, to help every participant to achieve their goal and for everyone to have the best experience possible,” Westfall said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to working with a team of volunteers who will be helping out on race day to make certain that participants will have fluids along the route and direct those with any aches or pains on the course to visit the fully staffed medical tent.”
