Plans for a new shopping centre in Birmingham have been given the go-ahead by officials as part of a £140 million investment in the region.

The new retail park will feature a flagship Tesco store amongst other big high street names such as Sports Direct and popular fashion outlet Primark. Commenting on the new development, a spokesperson for Tesco said:

“New Square will be a catalyst for further development as we see more people coming into West Brom from further afield.”

Shopping centres like the one which will be built at West Bromwich New Square often call for a significant amount of printed promotional collateral, especially for such a large-scale launch. Promotional POS materials can be produced for these shopping centres by professional printing companies.

South Birmingham is also home to a number of retail parks and shopping centres, the most famous of which is the Bullring. The Bullring is home to a range of the Midlands’ flagship retail stores and is supported by a marketing team which produces promotional collateral to attract shoppers to the mall.

New Square shopping centre will feature 44 retail units and it is thought that almost all of these have already been filled. The complex will also be home to various restaurants and a cinema showing the latest blockbuster movies. The retail park is due to open at the end of 2013 and is expected to bring 2,000 new jobs to the area, providing a welcome boost to the local economy.
