Plants radiate an amazing energy and beautify the space where they are kept. Apart from their beauty, they also have some great health benefits as well, including their ability to purify the air and protect from dust, radiation, chemicals, and other pollutants present in everyone’s home. Moreover, these green friends will brighten up your home and fill it with lots of positive energy.

Some of you might be familiar with the practice of Feng Shui and its principles, but for those of you who still haven’t heard of it, here’s what it means:

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese philosophical system for arranging your surroundings in harmony and balance with the natural world around you. This technique has been practiced for thousands of years and even nowadays people find it very interesting and implement its principles into their homes.

The literal meaning of Feng Shui (pronounced “fung shway”) is “wind and water”, symbolizing “the invisible powers in heaven and the flow of energy of the Earth.”

Here’s what Christina Viol, a certified Feng Shui consultant, says about the meaning of each of the two words in her article Wind & Water – Feng Shui and Creation, Or why Feng Shui Works:

“Feng Shui translates as “wind and water”. “Feng” stands for wind, air, gas, clouds, storms, energy fields and radiation of energy. It can also be interpreted as the complementary set of structures directing the flow of the wind. These structures can be mountains or rocks, buildings or other man-made forms.

“Shui” stands for water, lakes, rivers, brooks, waterfalls, swamps, rain, snow and ice, and also plants and other living organisms nourished by water, as well as so-called “dry water” ways, such as streets.”

This technique attempts to bring balance and harmony in one’s surroundings by using the principles of natural flow of energy.

The Feng Shui system is based upon the concept that everything in your environment has a life force or energy called “chi.” Just as this energy flows through your body, it also flows through your living environment. This energy is a positive, good, uplifting and renewing kind of energy that is highly beneficial to your health. Plants and flowers can both help you attract the Chi energy and experience its beneficial effects.

According to Feng Shui experts, all evergreen plants release good energy that has a positive impact upon all spheres of life, especially on the sphere of business and career. Moreover, most Feng Shui experts agree that one of the most beneficial plants, which is believed to help bring good luck, amazing friendships and material wealth is the Crassula Ovata, or commonly known as jade plant, friendship plant, lucky plant, pink joy, dollar tree, or money plant.

Not only is this plant very beautiful, but it is also very easy to care for as it requires little maintenance and is very resilient.

The Crassula Ovata plant is an evergreen plant originating from Africa, which has gained worldwide popularity and is kept as a precious houseplant in many households throughout the world. It has thick, shiny and smooth leaves that store water. These pretty jade-green leaves have an oval shape and look like small coins. Furthermore, this plant can also produce pink or white flowers that resemble stars in early spring. The edges of the plant’s leaves can also obtain a nice red color depending on the amount of sunlight they get. In addition, the Crassula plant also signifies deep friendship, especially when it blossoms.

One of the main reasons to get yourself a Crassula Ovata plant is that it is a true symbol of good luck – and who doesn’t need luck, right? In addition, since this plant is believed to bring prosperity, fortune and wealth, it would be a great present for someone who has just started a new business or got married, as well as a great choice for a housewarming present.

Jade is a precious stone and a symbol of great value. That is why the leaves of this plant, which are of jade-green color, symbolize growth and renewal, while their oval shape, which makes them resemble coins, serves to attract wealth and prosperity to the one who owns the plant.

Last but not least, in order to get the benefits offered by this plant and use its power to help you improve your financial situation, you should place it in the southeast corner of your home. According to the belief of Feng Shui experts, each new leaf will increase your wealth.
