BOOTFEST WINNERS. The members of the Southshield Football Club led by their coach Greg Napuran were all smiles after dominating the 2016 Football For Life football tournament in Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex in Mankilam, Tagum City.
National Master Macacuna Macala and Jasyson Salubre ruled the recent 6th APM Blitz and Rapid Chess Tournament in Market Basket, Damo-sa, Lanang, Davao City.
Macala beat Harrison Maamo in superior tie-breaks afer both of them scored six points in the seven-round Swiss System Format to rule his division.
With his win Macala won P1,000 while Maamo got P500 for placing second.
The third placer in the division was Gino Angelo Asuncion with 5.5 points and got P300 as prize money.
Salubre for his part also won first place in the event after scoring six points and pocketed P1,500 for his feat.
Others participants also got special awards: Ronnel Alsado (best 2000 rating), Honey Grace Buenafe (best blitz female), Wesley Magbanua (best 12 under in Rapid and Blitz), Engr. Allan Diez (best 2000 and below) and Exiuita Apao (best rapid female). R. Braceros
