The young batters of Baguio National School of Arts and Trades (BNSAT) won the crown in the 11th Davao City Baseball Cup at the Lt. Col. Cipriano Villafuerte Sr. Elementary School grounds last Feb-ruary 11.

BNSAT led by most valuable player of the tour-nament Jerson Simogan beat their nighbor Calinan National High School 5-3 to win the championship in the secondary division.

The team coached by Eruc Gauran were also made up of Jason Atawom, Salvador Bansalan, Geo Bernardino, Jimmy Ca-mangyan Jr., Joel Camang-yan Jr., Joey Camangyan,

John Jericho Casinillo, John Marc Duyac, Elijah Guinita, Remar Mercadal, Mario Nisnisan Jr. and Saide Once.

The third place went to  Crossing Bayabas National High School who beat Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School (PNJKIS), 12-2.

In the elementary level, the Bayabas Elementary School successfully defen-ded its crown by beating  Baguio Central Elementary School 7-1.

The team coached by Letecia Manito were lead by MVP Jay Louie Sejalbo in their win.

The rest of the team are the following Kenshien Lee C. Ardepolla, Rimarc Berdida, Edrian Casquejo, Eugene Elicano,

AJ Boy Montefalcon, Divo Ocado, Juvel Panday, Marjon Pelicano, Joel Sumael, Juantio Uganap Jr. and Michael Utbo.

The third placer in the division are the batters from San Roque Central Elementary School who eked out a 3-2 victory over PNKJIS.

The champion team received the perpetual trophy.

All top four teams also claimed medals, cash prizes and baseball equipment in the meet sponsored by Tokyo Kichijoji Lions Club and backed by Department of Education Davao City Division Superintendent Maria Ines Asuncion. Romeo Braceros
