A glass box with black frames enlarges a cafe near St. Jan Cathedral in 's-Hertogenbosch. Clearly manifesting itself by it's strong appearance. The existing townhouse is refurbished with robust materials, appropriate with its program. The new extension however seems delicate and stripped of as much materiality as possible. Besides one massive black radiator providing both guidance to new entrants and comfort to those who are present.
