Thanks to Million Mile Secrets reader Andres who let us know about a better offer for the CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select World MasterCard.

The sign-up bonus for this card is still 50,000 miles after you spend $3,000 in the 1st 3 months.  But you’ll also get 2 American Airlines Admirals Club lounge day passes after meeting minimum spending requirements!  The previous offer did not include lounge passes.

And the personal version of this card has also been upgraded to include 2 American Airlines Admirals Club day passes!

Now You Get 50,000 Miles and 2 Admirals Club Lounge Day Passes With the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard and CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select World MasterCard

They’ve also re-designed the card, but the rest of the offer terms and conditions appear to be the same as the previous offer.

What’s the Deal?

50,000 American Airlines miles and 2 Admirals Club day passes after you spend $3,000 in the 1st 3 months

First checked bag free for you and up to 4 traveling companions on the same reservation (worth $50 per person round-trip)

Group 1 boarding (more access to overhead bin space and time to settle in)

2 miles per $1 you spend on American Airlines and US Airways purchases and at office supply stores, telecommunications providers, and car rental companies

1 mile per $1 you spend on everything else

5% of your earned miles back when you renew the card each year

25% discount on American Airlines and US Airways in-flight purchases

$99 domestic coach class American Airlines companion certificate when you spend more than $30,000 per membership year on the card

Annual fee of $95, waived for the 1st year

The CitiBusiness AAdvantage Card Earns 2 Points per $1 You Spend on American Airlines, US Airways, and at Office Supply Stores, Telecommunications Merchants, and Car Rental Agencies

The new offer for the CitiBusiness AAdvantage card doesn’t earn us a commission, but Emily and I will always tell you about the best offers, even when they don’t earn us a commission!

The new offer for the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard (the personal version of this card) has some benefits which are different:

50,000 American Airlines miles and 2 Admirals Club day passes after you spend $3,000 in the 1st 3 months

First checked bag free for you and up to 4 traveling companions on the same reservation (worth $50 per person round-trip)

Group 1 boarding

2 miles per $1 you spend on American Airlines and US Airways purchases but NOT at office supply stores, telecom, and rental car agencies like the business card version

1 mile per $1 you spend on everything else

Earn 10% of your redeemed American Airlines miles back with a maximum of 10,000 American Airlines miles per calendar year  (the business card version does NOT offer this)

25% discount on American Airlines and US Airways in-flight purchases

Annual fee of $95, waived for the 1st year

Because the personal and business cards are considered to be different card products, you can have both at the same time.

Is This a Good Deal?

The CitiBusiness AAdvantage MasterCard had a sign-up bonus as high as 75,000 miles several years ago, but not recently.  So the 50,000 miles you get with the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard or CitiBusiness AAdvantage is still a good deal!

And 50,000 American Airlines miles can get you a lot of Big Travel with Small Money!  You could get:

2 round-trip, coach class tickets within the US and Canada

A round-trip, coach class ticket between the mainland US and Hawaii (with 5,000 miles left over)

A round-trip, off-peak coach class ticket between North America and Europe (with 10,000 miles left over)

A round-trip, Business Class ticket within the US and Canada

A 1-way, Business Class ticket between North America and Europe

You Could Get an Off-Peak, Round-Trip Coach Class Ticket to Europe With the Sign-Up Bonus, and Still Have 10,000 Miles Left Over

You’ll get 2 Admirals Club lounge day passes (worth $50 each) with each card after meeting minimum spending requirements.  If you don’t have airport lounge access from other credit cards, this could be a nice way to escape the hectic sounds of the airport with a quiet place to use their free Wi-Fi.

Relax Before Your Flight With Complimentary Snacks and Coffee at the Admirals Club Lounge With 2 Free Day Passes

The CitiBusiness AAdvantage MasterCard is a business card with the extra benefit of earning 2 miles per $1 you spend at office supply stores, telecommunications merchants, and car rental companies.  You might qualify for a business card even if you don’t think you have a business!

Bottom Line

There’s a new, better offer for the CitiBusiness AAdvantage MasterCard with a sign-up bonus of 50,000 miles and 2 Admirals Club lounge day passes after you spend $3,000 in the 1st 3 months.  The annual fee of $95 is waived for the 1st year.

Emily and I don’t get a commission for the CitiBusiness AAdvantage MasterCard, but it’s a better deal than our link which does not include Admirals Club passes.

We do get a commission for the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard that also gives you 50,000 American Airlines miles and 2 Admirals Club lounge day passes after spending $3,000 within 3 months of approval.

You’re allowed to have both cards.

You could get a lot of travel with the 50,000 American Airlines miles from each card.  And 2 Admirals Club 1-day passes alone are worth $100.

Thanks, Andres, for letting us know about this offer!
