NEW YORK, April 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hcareers (www.hcareers.com) released its first Android job search app, Hcareers Job Search, to the Google Play Store earlier this month.
The hospitality recruitment company also released an iOS version in October of 2015 (which is now on version 2.2) and has since seen apply rates as high as 30% from this version of the app alone.
Hcareers made the decision to take a "mobile first" approach due to the growing number of people owning and using mobile devices, especially those in hospitality. According to industry data, 14% wearing smart watches and other wearables, 51% owning tablets and 70% owning smartphones, the job search and career advice site did further research.
Of the 28% of Americans who use a smartphone during their job search, 94% browse or search jobs online, while 87% call potential employers. Nearly three quarters (74%) email job postings, 50% fill out job applications and 23% create a resume or cover letter. Armed with these stats, Hcareers created the first full-feature job search app for hospitality professionals and job seekers.
