Selected by the Program Committee, the Technical Sessions Contain the Most Comprehensive Biomass Presentations Gathered From Around the World
CHARLOTTE, NC--(Marketwired - Jan 12, 2016) - BBI International announced this week the agenda for the technical sessions of the 9th annual International Biomass Conference & Expo, North America's largest and fastest growing biomass conference, taking place April 11-14 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The 2016 agenda -- featuring four comprehensive tracks -- is tightly focused on leading edge developments in the biomass industry, from feedstock cultivation, harvest and storage to conversion technology, project finance and regulatory guidance.
The 2016 main program will include 30-plus panels and more than 100 speakers, including 90 technical presentations, all within the structured framework of four informative tracks:
Track 1: Pellets & Densified Biomass
Track 2: Biomass Power & Thermal
Track 3: Biogas & Landfill Gas
Track 4: Advanced Biofuels & Biobased Chemicals
"Our agenda already boasts nearly 100 leading biomass industry professionals and decision-makers and we still have yet to publish the agenda for our preconference, the Global Pellet Market Outlook Summit that will take place the Monday preceding the event. With the addition of the Global Pellet Market Outlook Summit, we are expecting this year to be even larger than last year. We'll have more than 120 speakers and moderators on our various agendas and nearly a total of 1,500 attendees," says Tim Portz, vice president of content & executive editor for BBI International. "I'm grateful for the incredible biomass experts that continue to support this event and share their knowledge with attendees."
In addition to the main conference agenda and expo hall, BBI will be showcasing the global pellet market at the Global Pellet Market Outlook Summit "We are excited to be offering attendees a preconference that will help them better understand the direction the pellet market is taking on a global scale," says John Nelson, director of marketing and sales at BBI International. "By bringing both agendas together under one roof, we believe that attending the International Biomass Conference & Expo is a must if you want to better understand the latest developments in the biomass industry."
Last week, BBI International also announced that there will be a third co-located event taking place during the same time as the International Biomass Conference & Expo called the Onsite Energy Conference & Expo. This co-located event is designed to bring together commercial, institutional and industrial energy professionals who are evaluating or already managing onsite power and thermal energy technologies. This three-day event will offer industry-leading content and networking opportunities for those engaged in onsite energy asset installation, operations and maintenance. Both events will share expo space on the main conference tradeshow floor.
