Mary Cotton
Chief Executive Officer
Mary Cotton joined VT iDirect in September 2007, bringing more than 18 years of technology leadership creating and driving successful growth strategies in CEO, COO and CFO roles.
Prior to joining VT iDirect, Ms. Cotton served as Senior Vice President with SAP Industry Solutions, the world's largest business application software company. She joined SAP in 2005 after managing the acquisition and sale of Frictionless Commerce, a provider of supplier relationship management software, where she served as Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to SAP, Ms. Cotton held several top management positions including Chief Operating Office and Chief Financial Officer at Aspen Technology Inc., a provider of software and services that help companies improve their manufacturing processes. There she executed an aggressive growth strategy that took AspenTech from a $6M private company to a $330M publicly traded international solutions provider.
Ms. Cotton holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College.
Chris Norem
Chief Financial Officer
Chris Norem is chief financial officer for VT iDirect, responsible for the company’s finance and strategic planning efforts.
Mr. Norem was appointed to the position in February 2010, and previously served as vice president of finance since 2006. He also has held many other top financial positions at U.S. companies, including Sprint Nextel and eLink Communications, since beginning his finance career over 17 years ago.
Under Mr. Norem’s leadership, he has helped VT iDirect increase operations internationally and become the second largest enterprise VSAT systems manufacturer in the world.
Mr. Norem is a graduate of Radford University in Virginia.
Kevin Steen
Chief Operating Officer
Kevin Steen was appointed Chief Operating Officer for VT iDirect in 2014 and prior to this served as Vice President, Advanced Programs from 2010-2013. With over 20 years of experience in technology business development and operating executive positions, he is responsible for expanding VT iDirect’s market position through business and corporate development initiatives, including strategic alliances and partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Steen also oversees the Global Supply Chain, Operations, Quality and Global Technical Services functions thus ensuring VT iDirect runs at peak operational efficiency and maintains the highest level of customer service and support.
Immediately prior to joining VT iDirect, Steen was Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at SAP Americas, where he participated in the business validation of identified acquisition targets and performed operational due diligence and post-acquisition integration activities.
Steen holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a BS from the University of Denver. He sits on several boards in a financial and operations advisory capacity. Watch Kevin discuss his role of Chief Operating Officer and VT iDirect's vision.
Andy Tomaszewski
Chief Information Officer / Chief Information Security Officer
Andy Tomaszewski is the Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at VT iDirect, where he is responsible for developing and managing VT iDirect’s computing and IT strategic plans, business applications, end user support, and management information services.
Previously, Tomaszewski held the position of vice president, Envisioning Services at CoreBTS, a technology solutions company. An industry-recognized expert in Security and Risk Assessment, he began his career in programming and architecture working at firms including Integrated Information Systems and Novell.
Tomaszewski holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earned his Management and Leadership Certification from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and is certified in CISSP, TOGAF, and Project Management.
Toni Lee Rudnicki
Chief Marketing Officer
Ms. Rudnicki joined VT iDirect in September 2006 as Chief Marketing Officer and manages all global marketing activities. Previously, Ms. Rudnicki was the Chief Marketing Officer for TANDBERG, and has held senior level positions with companies such as Aspen Technologies, Digital Equipment Corporation, General Electric Space Division and The Dow Chemical Company.
Ms. Rudnicki is a graduate of Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa., and the Advanced Management Program at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Wayne Haubner
Senior Vice President, Engineering & Emerging Technologies
Wayne Haubner joined VT iDirect as Senior Vice President, Emerging Technologies, in March 2015. Mr. Haubner is a 30-year software engineering veteran and has held senior roles in organizations ranging from start-ups to global corporations including DEC, IBM/Lotus and SAP.
Mr. Haubner has extensive, well-rounded experience in positioning development teams for their next stages of growth, and implementing new programs and offerings in response to market and customer needs. He is responsible for leading multiple development teams at VT iDirect, and provides guidance on how to efficiently deliver successful, innovative business outcomes to our partners.
Prior to VT iDirect, Mr. Haubner served at ADP as Vice President, Product Development, where he led an 800-person organization through a variety of innovation and improvement initiatives. A collaboration of Mr. Haubner’s technical, strategic and management skills has and will continue to contribute to the success of many organizations.
Mr. Haubner has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Eastern Kentucky University and holds a CISSP certification.
Eric J. Watko
Vice President, Integrated Solutions and Space Systems
Eric Watko is Vice President of Integrated Solutions and Space Systems at VT iDirect, where he is responsible for developing VT iDirect’s end-to-end solutions and space strategy. Under his leadership, he manages business development initiatives, including securing key strategic partners and co-innovation programs, solutions and services designed to seize and exploit ongoing and emerging market opportunities. His team focuses on the definition and architecture of VT iDirect's end-to-end solutions to address the satellite operator, telcos, cell back haul, and space-based systems.
Mr. Watko has extensive experience in satellite communication networks and space-based processor technologies, having worked in the industry for over 20 years. His experience in commercial and government satellite and telecommunications industries range from payload system engineering, future satellite communication network architectures, product development, and manufacturing and production.
Previously, Mr. Watko worked at Cisco, where he was the Sr. Engineering Development and Business Manager. One of his significant contributions was leading the engineering team that developed, delivered, and integrated the Internet Router In Space (IRIS) payload in 22 months on Intelsat’s IS-14. He was also the Program Manager representing Cisco during the U.S. government TSAT System Definition Phase.
Prior to working in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Watko continued his research in the field of optical characterization of thin film semiconductor fabrication.
Mr. Watko holds a B.S. in Physics California State University and an M.S. in Physics with a minor in Materials Science from North Carolina State University.
Amy B. Cahoon
Vice President of Human Resources
Ms. Cahoon joined VT iDirect in October 2009 from SAP, where she was the Global HR Lead for Mergers and Acquisitions and a member of the SAP Labs U.S. HR Leadership Team. Prior to SAP, she held HR management positions in companies spanning a variety of industries, including Renaissance Worldwide (telecommunications consulting), FitzGerald Communications (high tech PR), Amicore (electronic medical record software), and Frictionless Commerce (supplier relationship management software).
Ms. Cahoon earned a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and an M.A.T from Simmons College and she currently sits on the Board of Directors for StageSource Boston, an arts services organization advancing the art of theatre in the greater Boston region.
