MADISON, N.J., Nov. 18, 2015 /satPRnews.com/ -- Realogy Holdings Corp. (NYSE: RLGY), a global leader in real estate franchising and Provider of real estate brokerage, relocation and settlement services, yesterday underscored its partnership with the National Association of HISPanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), hosting a 53 Million & One Pre-Event that brought local practitioners, business neighbors, customers and community representatives to Realogy's Madison, New Jersey headquarters.

Gary Acosta, co-founder and president of NAHREP joined Realogy Chairman Richard A. Smith, among other Realogy executives at the Pre-Event to discuss the importance of the Latino market, highlights from the 2016 State of Hispanic Homeownership Report, the Hispanic Wealth Project, and engaged in a Q&A with Acosta. The business perspectives presented on Hispanic homeownership set the stage for the evening's performance of NAHREP's original stage production, 53 Million & One, an extraordinary one-man show that places viewers inside the American-Latino experience and shows how one man went from immigrant to entrepreneur. The show, performed at the Bicksford Theatre in Morristown, N.J., highlighted the common challenges, experiences, and aspirations that bind the 53 million Latinos who call America home.

"We are proud to take an active role in advancing the national dialogue around issues affecting Hispanic homeownership," said Smith. "Partnering with the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and other organizations that promote homeownership for all is part of our corporate responsibility, and we are steadfast in our commitment to help support their goals."

NAHREP's 53 Million & One show is part of a 25-city tour sponsored by Century 21 Real Estate LLC, a Realogy subsidiary. In the show, Jerry Ascencio, chairman of the NAHREP Foundation, illustrates the Hispanic-American experience through his personal journey from immigrant to successful real estate broker and devout family man. Ascencio narrates and embodies different characters in the performance and uses his skills as a Mariachi performer in a fusion of traditional Mexican music and American pop to tell his true-life story about making it against all odds.

NAHREP, a non-profit 501c6 trade association, is dedicated to increasing the homeownership rate among Latinos by educating and empowering the real estate professionals that serve them. Based in San Diego, NAHREP is the nation's largest trade organization for Hispanics with more than 21,000 members in 48 states and 40 affiliate chapters.
