RESTON, Va., Oct. 2, 2015 /satPRnews.com/ — The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and Clinical Care Options, LLC (CCO) today announced the creation of a collaborative partnership to support the ongoing development of evidence-based resources. This innovative collaboration will result in a comprehensive self-study online reference and a fully searchable point-of-care decision support resource developed specifically for oncology nurses. This partnership assures that the most up-to-date and evidence-based interventions are available to oncology nurses at all times.

inPractice® is a unique blend of original content and key clinical databases, integrated into an easy-to-use technology platform designed to meet clinical specialists’ needs for both structured, up-to-date education and point-of-care reference look-ups. Editors-in-Chief Dawn Camp-Sorrell, MSN, FNP, AOCN, and Rebecca Hawkins, MSN, ANP, AOCN, ACHPN, led a world-class faculty of more than 50 oncology nurse experts to develop and continuously update 51 original evidence-based modules on all aspects of the nursing care of patients with cancer, integrated with the latest practice guidelines, decision tools, drug information, and clinical trials data. Clinicians can study the inPractice® modules and earn CE credits or easily search all of inPractice’s databases simultaneously for the information they need at the point of care. With this collaboration, the full weight of ONS’s evidence-based resources and clinical support ensures that the critical work of each oncology nurse is grounded in the most current practice standards and recommendations.

The ONS inPractice® Oncology Nursing resource is also available as Mobile apps for Apple and Android Phones and tablets.

“We are very pleased to announce this partnership and look forward to launching ONS inPractice® Oncology Nursing to help our members provide the best possible care for their patients and families,” said Brenda M. Nevidjon, MSN, RN, FAAN, Chief Executive Officer of ONS. “We know how important continuing education and decision support resources are for our members, and inPractice® represents true innovation that will support our members’ excellent work.”

“CCO is delighted to create this long-term relationship with ONS, an organization that represents the highest standards of care and dedication to support its members with innovative programs,” said Kathleen Marley-Matts, Oncology General Manager of CCO. “We look forward to working together to provide oncology nurses the information they need any time, any place, and by any device they choose.”
