LONDON, United Kingdom--(Marketwired - May 19, 2015) - At Morison International's (MI's) 25th anniversary conference (8 May 2015), Jean-Pierre Larroze announced his decision to step down as Chairman from 1 January 2016. Jean-Pierre, who is from one of MI's 4 founding member firms (Aplitec, France) has tirelessly served MI for 14 years and overseen the association's significant progress. On stepping down as Chairman, Jean-Pierre will continue as a Director of MIL; Chairman of MI Europe and North America; Director of MI Africa and Director of MI InterAct.

Stephen Chang, MI's Independent Director and Vice-Chairman, delivered a tribute to Jean-Pierre on behalf of MI to express the association and member firms' deep appreciation and thanks for his 14 years of Chairmanship. Stephen spoke about Jean-Pierre's generosity of personality, pragmatic French diplomacy, effective leadership and his very high ethical standards. Stephen also warmly thanked Anne Larroze, for all the time Jean-Pierre has spent on MI affairs, which would have otherwise been spent together.

Based on Jean-Pierre's recommendation, the MIL Board has appointed Mark Levenfus, Managing Partner of New York member firm Marks Paneth LLP, as Chairman from 1 January 2016. Mark has been an MIL director for 3 years, during which time he has been a key contributor on all MI matters. Mark is already spearheading MI's strategic development into North America and other key markets. He is a very well respected board director, and works efficiently and effectively with MI's CEO, so he is well placed to take MI to the next level of development. Marks Paneth is now the 9th largest firm in the mid-Atlantic region, with over 550 professionals in 6 offices. The firm's annual revenues are in excess of USD100 million.

On behalf of MI and all member firms we would like to repeat our very sincere thanks to Jean-Pierre, and we greatly look forward to working even closer with Mark to further build MI.
