Balsam Hill provided me this artificial tree and their ornaments (thank you, Balsam Hill!). What I said, and how I said it, are my own words and thoughts on the products.

We were ready for this Christmas season to start far earlier than any other year! Normally I don’t start decorating until after Thanksgiving but when Balsam Hill asked me to try out once of their trees, and have it set up and photographed by November 14, I jumped at the chance to have the excuse to break my own rule.

I was in awe from the moment the tree was delivered to our home. All I had to do was cut open the box from the side and wheel the tree out and put the top two feet onto the tree. The tree came in this incredible tree cover protector which was fairly easy to just slide off the tree. It also came with gloves which I thought was weird until I got a pine needle into my nail when fluffing the branches; on went the gloves from that point on (and my thoughts on the gloves changed from weird to brilliant). The lights were already on the tree and all the cords are in the trunk so I didn’t even have to string the lights!

With the tree I also received some of Balsam Hill’s French Country ornaments. I’m going to be honest, I’m a little bit of an ornament snob. Way back in my bachelorette days I splurged at Restoration Hardware’s after Christmas sale and purchased a tree’s worth of ornaments. They are some of the most quality ornaments I own… and then this year I met their match with the Balsam Hill ornaments. The kids wanted to help me take them out of the package and I was a nervous wreck… until I discovered each one was so incredibly sturdy and solid. I put about half of them on the tree and saved the other half, because they are so heavy, to put onto our new dining room table as part of the centerpiece. They look gorgeous there!

The ornaments you see above with the gauzy white ribbon are Balsam Hill’s from the French Country Collection.

Aside from Balsam’s ornaments I used some of my faves from over the years, the bells my mom gives me every year that match the ones we had on our tree growing up and you can see, sort of next to the coffee table, the Eiffel Tower ornament I gave AJ when we were engaged. I love to give him and the kids an ornament on their stocking every year that represents them, or something they’ve done that year or a place we’d like to go together (hence the Eiffel Tower… in seven years of marriage we haven’t made it there together yet but we certainly hope to!).

Long story short, this tree is a stunner. It’s their 7 ft Blue Spruce and it’s part of their Most Realistic Collection. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. If you were looking to purchase one but the prices aren’t working for your budget look at the unlit trees… you can definitely save some money by purchasing the ones you’d put your own lights on and chances are you already own lights!

Let me show you a shot of it in the early morning hours… you know, when you creep down before everyone is awake and put the lights on (easily my favorite time of year and each day!):

Balsam Hill is currently having a Black Friday Preview sale that ends TOMORROW.

If you want to get a good look at other gorgeous trees decorated before making your decision some of my friends are sharing theirs HERE.

The dining room, where this photo was taken, looks drastically different from when you last saw it… the walls and trimmed are all primed and we have the new dining room table and chairs in here. Because I’m crazy I also set the table for a pretend dinner party, even though I’m in the middle of painting the room, because I was sooo excited to see it come together after the chairs were delivered.
