Last week after the Marilyn Denis Show taping, I tagged along with my pal Alison Westlake to her charming Parkdale flower shop, Coriander Girl.  It was a truly inspiring visit let me tell you – not only because of Alison’s amazing shop but because of the neighbouring independent shops near by including Kitten and the Bear Confiturier.  It’s a tiny, beautifully renovated historic shop with the most delicious buttermilk scones and artisan jams and jellies you can imagine!

Coriander Girl is all about romantic garden inspired flowers and arrangements – nothing too fussy or over worked.  Alison and her coworker Telly are true magicians with flowers and the whole atmosphere of the place is intoxicating.  You’ll want to move right in!  Alison’s little white rabbit has done just that in fact and he greets customers as he hip hops on by (that is not a joke!).

Trust me, you have to visit Coriander Girl on Queen Street West in Toronto.  And for those of your Durhamites like me, Alison promises to reprise her flower arranging class at Penney & Co (like this one last spring) once her busy wedding season calms down.  I can’t wait!

P.S. Alison and Coriander Girl have been named one of the top 4 florists in Toronto by FLARE Magazine!  Congrats Alison!!
