Eagle Creek Software Services, the leading provider of U.S. onshore technology services, is featured in a BBC World News documentary “Our World – Bringing Business Back”. The story magnifies the U.S.’s demand for higher levels of service and quality from offshore outsourcing countries.

This worldwide documentary aired on the BBC between February 13th and February 16th. The production highlights that many U.S. based companies are now adopting U.S. onshore technology services as opposed to offshore outsourcing. Natalia Antelava, award winning journalist, traveled across the U.S. and India documenting this shift. Ms. Antelava investigates one of the major trends in globalization over the last fifteen years – the outsourcing of U.S. jobs to low cost offshore areas. Antelava then challenges if the U.S. is not at the beginning of a new paradigm for U.S. manufacturing and technology outsourcing.

The 30 minute documentary features Eagle Creek as a pioneer in the U.S. public/private partnership arena, building U.S. based STEM jobs for the high-tech industry. The partnership includes Eagle Creek and the relationships formed with the State of South Dakota, the community of Vermillion, South Dakota, and the University of South Dakota.

This partnership has built world-class technology programs for college graduates entering and competing in the U.S. IT services industry, while producing successful financial returns for state and community economic programs.

“U.S. onshore is now recognized as an imperative for companies deploying digital business” said Ken Behrendt, CEO of Eagle Creek, who was interviewed by the BBC. “Of no coincidence a Gartner Insight Report was just released advocating U.S. onshore” added Behrendt. “Our unique onshore/onsite consultant model allows our customers to better manage cost and substantially increase quality, while minimizing risk in software development, deployment and support. And we’re doing it by investing in America.”
